I love floral rings, more so when diamonds are used to make them.
About a month ago, @ParksFineGroupInc posted a Calla Lily ring on their Instagram page that I fell in love with. While I hemmed and hawed over whether I really NEEDED it, it was sold to someone in Shanghai, China. Oh well, it wasn't meant to be, besides, it would have overwhelmed my short, chubby fingers.
Sorry, these are just screenshots of the ring. Go to @ParksFineGroupInc Instagram page to view the videos.
Alex said he could have another one made if I really wanted it. I said I would think about it. I thought about it for a couple of weeks because I couldn't get it out of my mind! I started browsing for other Calla Lily rings, cut and pasted pics from features I liked and sent them to Alex. The flower itself will be downsized to be proportionate for my finger. The ring should have been cast this past Friday. Here are the CADs:
The ring will have an articulated yellow briolette for the stamen, just like Alex's original ring. Also, the Pave will be hand done on the shank, sort of half-eternity u-prong. There also will be diamonds coming off of the overlapped petal onto the stem.
I'm not sure what that floating stone is in the middle there, but perhaps Alex is sending a gift along with this. I cannot wait to see this in person and put it on my stubby, chubby finger. Did I say it's going to be a right-hand ring?
Did I say I'm very excited? I haven't purchased any jewelry in quite awhile, well, aside from a 10 ct tennis bracelet yesterday, but the ring was first.
