Just curious to see how many of us there are.....

I know LOL

I just realized today that only Floridians (or those that get hit by hurricanes) can appreciate category 1 and make comments like "I hope we don''t have to work tomorrow" LOL

FYI We do

I just called my mom to wish her luck on her first day back to work..and she goes "Well I wish that storm would hit tomorrow so we didnt have to go back till Tuesday...hahah :-)" the BF even said he wished that it hit sooner so he doesnt have to go to training for school stuff... hehehe

Luckily I don''t have to work today and I can hang out with the PS''ers until my friends come over, crack open a bottle of wine, and watch the storm!

That''s how it is for me Fargo nd! Except that everyone else in the country closes down after like 2 inches of snow and it takes about 10 inches for us to close down! sometimes more!

A few weeks ago there was a pretty intense storm in Chicago. FI was getting really concerned, winds were pretty high (recorded up to 60 MPH gusts). He was like "WOW! It''s like a hurricane out there!" I glance out the window, say, "Nah, more like a tropical storm," then go back to making dinner.

I grew up in FL, Miami-area, now my folks live in PB County. I''ll be married in WPB next October. I currently live in Chicago. FI''s parents are in the Tampa/Bradenton area.

Aww.. That''s where I live! Are you getting married at one of the beautiful clubs around here? We have so many beautiful spots!

Hey ladies,

Well I am not officially a FL LIW, b/c I live in DC now. But, I was born and raised there (how many can actually say they were born in FL) and obvioulsy I am die-hard Gator. My FF and I will most likely be getting married in So Fla too, so any advice on bands, flowers, wedding planners, etc would be very welcomed!

Thanks

O.k so I went to Publix today and I remember Blondebunny started the thread about our favorite "comfort foods" and she mentioned that we HAD to try the Publix brownies...Well, I went on a hunt in the store and found them and it just so happened that they were on sale today (3.89).

So, I bought the plain ones and I also have been wanting to try their sushi as well since I have had a bad hankering for sushi the last few weeks and can't really afford to drop 40-50 on one sushi meal at the moment.

So, I am trying the Full Moon Combo sushi (three different rolls) Surprisingly they are not too bad for 5.49....yields 12 or 16 pieces...

As for the brownies......I think I am in love....

Maybe I just got a fresh batch, but the icing was somewhat gooey and the brownie was soft....soooo good....A+

Ha ha! you know what is even BETTER on Publix Brownies? Well, if you like peanut butter, that is...mix some peanut butter with some powdered sugar, and put that on top of the fudge icing. That''s awesome...

I''m not "in waiting" but I am "in Florida." Miami area..

Just wanted to say hi.....Jacksonville FL for me. And I cannot tell you how HAPPY I was that Fay is GONE!! Man did we get a ton of rain!! My backyard looks like a swimming pool.

And an afterthought..Publix brownies are totally YUM!! So is their chocolate cheesecake...... :)
