I have 5 flowergirls instead of Bridesmaids

One is 12 and is brunette with olive skin and more of a ''junior bridesmaid''

Two of them are 10 & 8 year-old sisters with very blonde hair and fair skin colour

Final two are both 4 - one is brunette with olive skin and the other very blonde with pale skin.

I''d like to use 3 different dresses for them.

The colours need to be burnt orange, marigold and sage green and I''m aiming for quite a medieval look so not too frilly!

Everything I see is either pink or white and very pastel.

Does anyone have any pictures of coloured flowergirl dresses?

Also, I think dark hair goes really well with orange etc, but not so sure about the blonde girls. Will it just wash them out?

Thanks!

I'm blonde and fair and I can NOT do orange or sage... makes my skin tone look weird. I can do certain shades of yellow like marigold.

At alfredangelo.com there are some flower girl dresses with white or ivory tops and colored skirts.

Fox 'n Lily have some cute renaissance-ish dresses for jr. bridesmaids and flowergirls. It seems they are available in any color, but they are kinda expensive. Another flowergirl and another with a blonde girl with sage ribbon.

Those are great dresses! They''re really pretty and they seem to go along with the look you''re after, Pandora (at least, in my opinion). What do you think?

Do you want them to be the same dress, just in different colors?

If that doesn''t concern you, this would be a cute dress for the little girls. And it''s only $50!

I like this one with the off-white bodice and different colored skirts.

That last one is expensive. Here''s another I like for about $60. but it only comes in this color.

Wow, they''re all fab!

I''m planning on 3 different dresses, so they don''t need to look the same.

Also, my mother and I will be making them - so it''s more inspiration that I am after.

I love the Angela dress on the Fox''n Lily website. It''s got the flowy look that I love.

Do you think that would look good with say a marigold colured silk lining and then the white chiffon layers over the top to soften it, with a marigold silk sash - then you''d get a flash of colur from the hem etc when they walked but not too overpowering.

Here''s the dress:

I love that dress!!! I think your idea would look wonderful!

This would be pretty for the 2 four year-olds. It''s in silk and $50 which is supercheap for the UK. I couldn''t make it for that price!

I''d take the ivory ribon out and replace it with a mix of thin silk burnt orange, mango and marigold ribbons so they flutter a bit when they walk.

Maybe put the same sort of ribbons round the sleeves of the Angela dress.

Thanks so much for all the ideas!

If you click on this link it takes you to a flower girl dress at alfredangelo.com and you can click color swatches to see how they will look under the chiffon; it might give you an idea (but I think it would look great!) Awesome you guys are making them!
