What are some alternatives to bouquets? I won''t have anyone to hand mine off to so is there something else I can carry or be attached in some way but not have to be held in the hands?

Anyone working on their vows yet? I''ve been reading a lot of chick lit lately and finding little snipits or lines that I''m keeping track of. I definitely don''t want traditional vows, I want something original.

Question....how do I attach several pics to a post? I want to get opinions on the bands I''ve picked and see which one you ladies like the best.

I''ve never figured out how to post more than one pic at a time, but would love to learn if someone knew how!

Hi Katomm!

My grandmother carried an ivory fan with a single rose attached to it (I think it's a family heirloom)

I suppose you could do a corsage, or have a small table with a vase near where you're standing to hold a bouquet. Conversely an honoured guest in the font row could hold it for you. You don't need a bridal party to take care of a bouquet.

You could also carry a basket of flowers which could be easily set down.

Some people carry a pomander which could be hung around your wrist with a ribbon

That's my 2 cents

ps re multiple pics: some folks make a photo collage in paint and save it as one image, then post it

I was at a wedding this past weekend and I commented to BF that it was awkward that the bride was standing up there holding the bouquet instead of her groom''s hand. I actually don''t think you need to hold a bouquet or anything at all; of course unless you want to hold something. But I think it''s more tradition than anything.

Also, if you do go bouquet route, here''s an idea I came across the other day. Ask each guest to bring a certain color or type of flower and they can "create" your bouquet - such a neat idea for those trying to save money.

I love the idea of a pomander. I know they''re usually for flower girls, etc. but if you had a more elaborate one made, it could hang from your wrist, you could have flowers, and still hold your FI''s hands during the vows.

Photo attached. I know a few BIWs had planned to do similar things, or so I''d read in BWW.
