My husband surprised me with this new Gucci bag from the Fall 2005 collection--caught me oogling it in the In Style Mag and went out and got it the next day...
I guess he thought I worked too hard after our flood....

the brown is a rich deep chocolate color--the camera shows it to be a lot lighter..I am really happy with this bag!!!

Thanks for the nice comments--and the suede is very rich looking I agree. I hate to talk about Fall (yikes!!) but the fashion is for velvets and deep colored satins, so the suede will fit right in (and with the four pairs of boots I bought last year!!!!)

Originally he wanted to get the VERY large leather bag (put it on hold for me to decide), but when I saw it I knew it just wasn''t me, and subsequently got this smaller size and different style

. My husband is not a big "surprise" gifter, so needless to say I was bowled over--I know he got a kick out of the total surprised look

on my face!!

But that still doesn''t mean I am going to take flood clean up as my second career.........

WOW!! Talk about a man who knows how to pay attention!! And what a great bag!!

Blue - my hubby is the same way! He thinks it''s insane (and it probably is but who cares!) to spend hundreds of dollars on a "purse". I don''t even have real expensive ones like Gucci or Burberry or anything, I usually look at Coach bags since they are the "cheapest" of the expensive bags! Last christmas I saw a beautiful new bag from Coach that was a lite berry color and had the logo all over it. It was gorgeous and was only about $400. While we were at the mall shopping one day, I casually strolled over to the Coach store and pointed to the bag. "Honey, what do you think of this? Isn''t it great? I would LOVE to have this bag!" I said. His eyes kind of glaze over and he''s like "uh, sure, it''s nice. I can try to work it in to your gifts for this year. How much?" as he reaches for the tag. I cringe and see his eyes BUG OUT " $400 (explitive) dollars??!! Are you serious? For this? It''s a PURSE for crying out loud!!" I knew right then and there I wasn''t getting it, and I didn''t

So be very happy that your hubby thinks it''s ok to have such a great piece!!! It''s beautiful, have fun!!
