For Sale, Various Gold, Diamond, etc. Rings & Earrings

I've bought many things off LT but have only sold a few items, so take my input with a grain of salt.

But shipping with USPS First Class (plus tracking) should run you <$5 per package. So you can take that into consideration when pricing to our listings.

With returns, looks like almost everyone is requesting Paypal F&F, which makes each sale pretty much final. Some folks allow the buyer to use Paypal for goods if the buyer will cover the fees themselves. But it'll also open the door for chargebacks/disputes.

Sidenote: In the past, I've been pretty lucky with covering Paypal fees myself and not having any disputes or requests for returns with buyers. But now I'm a bit more cautious and have switched to accepting PayPal F&F only.

The way I see it, it's stressful enough to sell personal items. I'm not trying to run a small business here!

@AnastasiaBeaverhausen Thanks a million for the advice!! This is really helpful!! I am so nervous about selling online so I will take your advice. :)

@Emerald City I had originally spoken up for #19. If another person has made you a good offer, I say seize the moment!! There are no "rules". These are your items. You get to decide what happens with all of it. :)

And I'm still interested in #3, #6, and #39, and depending on size, may be game for the giant lapis ring.

@lala646 By the way, @Efleon has declined item 28. Are you still interested in it?

Thank you for all this work, I am still interested in 24, 26, 31 and 32. Especially with the mystery stones. But I might drop 31 as the size it just too large.

I forgot - it's totally fine if you're not interested in 31. I'll have the stone ID'd anyway just in case anyone else is interested in it :)

I will purchase #28 turquoise ring and turquoise earrings if still available.
[email protected]

Hi, @luckygreen317 :) @Bron357 has requested #1, the fake turquoise earrings, and @lala646 had requested #28, the fake turquoise ring in 14K gold. I will let you know immediately if they change their minds :) I appreciate your interest! They're both fake turquoise but they were both well done enough to fool the gemologist until she looked closely at them.

@Emerald City im so sorry to read of your problem and upcoming surgery
I hope you get good prices for your lovelly pretties and that helps a lot towards your medical bills

Im so sad you have to sell them but health and mobility is paramount

Thats so nice of @Bron357 to offer to help you sell your mom's pieces too, every bit will help and I'm sure you mom would have wanted to help if she was here today

It's good to hear from you again! I thank you for your good wishes, they are very much appreciated!!! The people on this site are so incredibly kind and very supportive. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart.

I hate having to sell my things but at least I know they will be going to good homes, as I know the people here love jewelry as much as I do :) That helps with letting go of the pieces. I am still really upset about selling the moonstone ring, though. At least I get to see it from time to time since I sold it to a friend :)

How are things south of the Equator? I heard that a woman coming back to NZ from South Africa caused another quarantine. Are things approaching normal again?

I understand.
Why don’t we do this.
Please send me an invoice for 34 via loupe troop.
I will post my contact info there and we can do via PayPal FF.

@Efleon I am such a newb! How do I send an invoice to you there? :)

We are doing ok, thanks for asking about us
The lady got it from the quateteen hotel but it dodnt show up till after her 2 weeks isolation
Thankfully she did not transmit it to anyone else, not even her husband
The tracer app is working well and no community-based transmission thank goodness

Once you get your leg fixed there will be other moonstone rings and we can all have fun helping you find it.

Take care and stay safe and get your mobility back !
Best wishes for a pain free future
you will be in my thoughts

Oh yes, the hoop earrings #40. I am still interested in them as well.

Just saw all the pretty rings. May I be in line for 42 and 34 if others don't take them? Quite a few others caught my eye as well: 9, 12, 15, 18, 20, 24, 25 and 27. Could you please let me know what sizes these are? And apologies if anyone has claimed them... Thanks!

@lala646 Your graciousness and kindness are much appreciated!! I will go ahead and sell it to the lady I met in the jewelry store. She actually let out a shriek in the store and we were all like, What's going on?? lol. I appreciate your being willing to let the piece go. That is incredibly generous of you.

The giant lapis ring is size 9. Will that work?

Thank you again. :)

Yes, a 9 will work, so pencil me in for the giant lapis.

@Rubymal Do you still want #41? :) If so, I'm just about ready to post them for sale. I just need to take a couple of photos in order to list them!

@Sparkle77 If you're still interested in #28, please let me know ASAP, because I have someone else who is interested in that piece :) For reference, it is size 7.5.

@luckygreen317 I do apologise, but I forgot that item 28 was asked about previously by Sparkle77. If Sparkle77 is no longer interested I will let you know ASAP :) Also, item 1 was asked after by Bron357, but if it becomes available I'll let you know as well.

Understood! :) That ring seriously cracks me up. It's heavy and it has presence. It looks majestic. I'm rather fond of it :) It has some patina between the tiny silver beads comprising the 'halo.' I will leave the patina for now, but if you'd like, I can use silver polish to try and get rid of the patina. I'm so happy someone is interested in this piece! It's a special one for sure :)

@Crystalnqh Wowza, very cool choices! :) (I'm obviously biased though, lol.) Item 24 was asked after by Marriedbuteloped, but I'll let you know ASAP if it becomes available. It is a size 8, by the way.

Sizes:
#9 - 11.5
#12 - Generous 8.25
#15 - 7.5
#18 - Generous 10.25
#20 - Generous 7.5
#25 - 7
#27 - Generous 8.5

And you already know that 34 & 42 are taken but of course if that changes I'll let you know :) #34 is a size 7.75 & #42 is a size 9. Item 12 needs another stone ID (I'm not sure if the blue stones are aquamarines or topaz; the jeweler ran out of time yesterday), which I will do next week. Would you like me to go ahead and list the other items you are interested in, and then purchase 12 separately? Or do you want to wait for all the items at once?

I'm thrilled that someone is interested in the "dinner ring"! It's one of my very favourites :) I'm ready other than photos to list the items you're interested in. Hopefully someone will tell me how to list items for specific people so that those who have called 'dibs' for things get a chance to buy first :)

Happy Sunday, everyone!!!! :wavey:

@Efleon I am such a newb! How do I send an invoice to you there? :)
It was a lot of typing but I am a weirdo who likes typing :) I want to provide people with as much detail as possible before they purchase an item because I don't want to accept returns. Please let me know if you'd like additional photos of any item! I'm happy to provide some :)

34 is a really neat piece! The jeweler thought it was very well made and said the opal is very high quality. Are you still interested in 28?

You are doing great!
You’ve got this.
Yes please to more photos of 34.
And you can send invoice to my email. I posted contact info on Loupe Troop.
If generating an invoice seems difficult, then simply reach out to me there, we can then work on payment via PayPal.
It’s pretty straight forward from there so no worries.

@Efleon Here are some more photos :) Let me know if you'd like more! It's such a pretty ring and fun to photograph :D I figured out that it's part of the Franklin Mint collection, designed by Faberge & made in 1988. The stamp (pictured) includes the year of manufacture & "FM" for 'Franklin Mint.' How cool is that?!

Hello! Still interested but could you take a closer up photos and let me know the price? Sorry if I missed that somewhere...

That looks so much fun
Was it one of your mom's?

@Rubymal Here are some close-up pics. I hope they help you make a decision! Let me know if you still want them, and if you'd like any additional photos :)

@Daisys and Diamonds Thanks :) All of these belonged to my mother with the exception of #20 (aquamarine ring set in silver). The peacock ring was never my cup of tea per se but it is well-made and over the years I very much enjoyed taking it out of its box and just examining the craftsmanship. It was designed by Faberge for the Franklin Mint which is pretty neat!

I have to add that I'm not sure how to make a listing for just one person on Loupe Troop. Is there some way to do it in PayPal directly?

@Emerald City I believe you said you had set up an account with Loupe Troop? I would create a "listing" with a contact email for you so those of us who have spoken up for items can contact you. Don't post any personal info - just an email address - very preferably one without your real name in it so as to keep the interwebs anonymous. For example, here is my simple contact listing:

@emeraldcity, thanks and I apologize for not seeing others had shown interest first. Just let me know about #1 earrings and #28 ring as I will purchase them. We can arrange something outside LoupeTroop if more convenient.
