For all y''all who used the bouquets from the ceremony as decorations at the reception, what sort of vase did you put them in? A rough measurement would be super helpful too, I''m looking at rectangular vases, but not sure what sort of measurement range I should be looking at.

Hi Sweetpea,

Our florist actually provided the vases for us... we set up the BM bouquets on the gift table at the reception. So maybe check with the florist before getting anything? Otherwise, from what I recall, the ones she used were just typical vase-sized and very simple so as not to distract from the pretty flowers... maybe a 5-6" diameter opening?

i''m not sure what size, but here''s a pic of ours.

I just lucked out at Christmas Tree shops and purchased some very pretty and HEAVY glass vases for the whopping price of $1 each. They are fluted.
I don''t have pics, but my girls bouquets are hand tied, longer stems so I''m going to take them to my florist meeting next week and make sure they will work. But for $1 each, I am not worried if they don''t.

Where are you planning on using the bouquets? We had a sweetheart table and our bridal party was completely spread out, so I initially asked to put an empty vase on the tables w/ BMs, but the florist pointed out that I''d want my guests to walk into a "finished" room, so we decided to put the bouquets on the cake table. But then....I forgot the vases (about 10in tall cylinder that I''d purchased at Hobby Lobby for about $2, cheaper than renting from the florist) at home. The BMs ended up simply laying their bouquets on the cake table around the cake and it was very pretty - I think more so than if I would have remembered the vases, since the height of the vases might have detracted from the height of the cake.
