Found a setting for $125!

I went to my local mall and was browsing Kays Jewelers semi mounts. I found this one, and it was on sale for $125.00!! I was like..WHA?

Its .5cts of diamonds, and the diamonds are SI1, so of course I snagged it. I havnt ordered the other one I posted yet, was going to on the 1st. Do you think it looks good with the heart if I of course had a different head?

ETA: was 125, 145ish, after taxes and 'warrenty'.

Nope, just a discounted price. Even the sales lady said she was thinking of buying it and reselling on eBay. So if I can't decide if I want to put something in it, I may do the same lol!

Btw it's 14kt gold. Don't think I mentioned that.

wow! With a new head, the heart will look perfect. I prefer the proportions of the heart over the proportions of the pear, but that's just me. Congrats!

mis estimated the diamonds. They measure out to .75, not .5 . Woot!

Hmmmm? Do you think Kay Jeweler's has a paraiba or a Mahenge spinel in their inventory? I think either stone looks great in there.

I try to check jewelers' sales because sometimes they have something marked down that has been inventory for a long time, and is still priced at "old gold" prices. I recently picked up an 18" 14k white gold chain (and it was fairly substantial) for $40 on sale. Another jeweler told me the lobster clasp alone would cost that now.

Congrats on the good buy! The diamonds seems white and sparkly from the photos Honestly, I think that the pear looks better in the setting. The diamonds seem to 'swallow' the petite pink heart.
