FOUND A STONE!!!!!!!!!

I had posted earlier that we were going to go look at rings on Wednesday but honey could tell I was extremely excited to go so we went tonight instead. We looked at ALL kinds of stones, probably a hundred of them!! (ok not that many but we were there for awhile). I decided I am a color snob and I like the colorless stones. But, I decided that clarity isn''t super important to me, I just wanted it to be eye clean. So we found a stone that was a good level of each of the four C''s. It''s stunning. It sparkles so much and gives my stomach little butterflies when I look at it. The stones I looked at before it were pretty, but they didn''t get me excited.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!

So....we were just going to look but ended up putting the stone on layaway!!!!! AHHHHHHH! So it''s MINE! But not yet.

We also found a setting at the same store but I''d like to get different prongs put onto it. There were funky chunky prongs on it and they didn''t go with the setting at all so we picked out ones that will work MUCH BETTER with the stone we picked.

I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED!!! He doesn''t want anyone to know that we looked (I HAD to tell my best friend, but she won''t tell anyone!!!) and now I''m telling YOU all, but who are you going to tell?? You don''t even know me!!!

Here are the specs I remember off the top of my head....... Princess, 1.01 ct., F color, SI1, ummmm.....that''s all I remember. I checked out the other specs and the numbers seemed ok (I''ve done a LOT of research) I just don''t remember exact details. The setting is a white gold cathedral mount, super simple and gorgeous! I am super happy with everything about the stone and it fit comfortably in honey''s budget so he''s happy!!!!!!!!!!

This isn''t the exact set, but it''s REALLY close to what we looked at. I photoshopped the wedding band on there just to see what it would look like. The setting is white gold cathedral mount 5mm wide. It is super simple and elegant which is exactly what I wanted!! The stone is almost the exact width of the band so the proportion looks really nice together. I love the simple wedding band so I''m sure I''ll end with something just like that. LOVE IT.

And how great that your BF was so on board with the whole thing...ring-shopping can sometimes be a drag for the guy but I''m glad to see that wasn''t the case with you!

I woke up about twenty times last night and couldn''t stop thinking about it. Just knowing my stone is being kept safely in the vault for me is SO exciting. And I can''t help but drool a little bit looking at the setting. It''s so simple and elegant and timeless and I know I''ll love it forever!!!

Awe, thats great! I was most into color as well. Mine is a 0.71 ct princess, E, SI1. I get tons of compliments on my wg cathedral setting as well.

BIG NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE RING HAS BEEN PAID FOR AND ORDERED!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have to order the setting from a different location but even with that delay it could be ready in as little as a week!!!!!!!!!!!! I don''t think anything will happen QUITE that soon though. But, over dinner tonight b.f. told me that this weekend while he is out of town I have to go out and buy myself a new dress. I asked "What kind?" A sundress? Prom dress? WEDDING dress??? He said something like a dress I already own but have worn a million times. SO, I have no idea what he has up his sleeve but I always love an excuse to go shopping!! And it could be my ENGAGEMENT DRESS!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!! But anyway....I''m a little bit excited. The ball is ROLLLLLING ladies!!! Can''t wait until it bounces into my lap (or onto my finger!!)

Yay! How nice of him to give you a hint to dress up. I was wearing a Steelers t-shirt, Penn State sweatshirt and gray PSU soffe shorts when FI asked me. Needless to say, the pictures immediately following the proposal are not some of my faves

I went dress shopping tonight at the insistance of b.f. but couldn''t find ANYTHING. The dresses were either for 15 year olds going to the homecoming dance or for 50 year old mother-of-the-bride dresses. I don''t think it helped that I felt grungy and my hair was gross. BUT, I couldn''t help smiling as I walked by every single jewelry store because I know my ring is already being made and I don''t have to look any more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally know the feeling. Like when you have money and you go shopping and you cant find anything, but then when you are broke you want EVERYTHING.

Oooooh....something is UP. My mom called and asked if I wanted to go shopping with her. When I asked, "What for?" she said, "I thought maybe you would like to get a new dress...." FUNNY that b.f. told me two days ago to get a new dress. My mom said it VERY suspiciously so I wonder if she is in on something.

OR............ it could be me overanalyzing EVERYTHING!!! I think women tend to do that when they are THISCLOSE to getting engaged. Either way I''m pumped to go shopping again tonight.

I wasn''t supposed to hear b.f. talking to the jeweler last week but they said they could have the ring ready by TODAY. So that means a proposal could happen any second after today! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fingers are all crossed!!! Except the one where the ring goes!!!!!!! I hope he doesn''t sit around forever now!!!!
