Hi everyone! I wanted to share my four most recent purchases. The first is a 3.24 carat yellow Garnet from Kenya. The Garnet was precision faceted by Marvin Wambua. I purchased it through Jason Brim on Facebook. If I am being honest, I was nervous about this stone for a few reasons. One, I was unsure of the color. I loved it in Jason's pictures but I was worried about it browning out. Two, I had never heard of Marvin before and I was unsure if I would like his cutting. I can safely say that my fears were entirely unnecessary. The Garnet is a gorgeous, golden yellow color that has deep flashes of red and orange that I adore and the dispersion is out of this world. It holds its color very well in all types of lighting situations. I am very sorely tempted to contact Jason to purchase the other stone of this same material that Marvin also cut.

The next is a pair of Spinels from Barry. As always, Barry's cutting is superb and I love the colors of these two stones together. I have no idea of how I am going to set them! All suggestions are welcome.

The last is a 1.52 raspberry Rhodolite Garnet, also from Barry. Again, the cut is great and the color is beautiful, but I did have difficulty capturing the color in my pictures. Barry's photo is very accurate in terms of the color that I see in real life.
