It was such a saga! But so worth it. And I really think I have much more appreciation for the ring having gone through it, because to be honest I'm not 100% sure I knew going into this what I wanted. When I saw that third version by video I was like THAT IS IT! I think I needed that Eureka moment and Faye made the process so much easier.

Awww thank you! The whole thing rocks. Seriously. And I love the pavé setting, it took me a long time to figure out exactly how I wanted it to look. There's so many different styles and none of them were sitting right with me. I can thank @JrJ for helping me figure it out because of her amazing ring. You know when you're just enchanted by something? I was enchanted. So lucky to have seen that. It's wonderful. Thank you!

Ooh I saw your thread, congratulations on your upgrade! I know you went via Faye and Manu to get your original stone unset and then went via HPD in America, right? If only I had the balls to do that I would totally have bought the HPD Marchesa setting... Not that I could afford that in addition to the stone.

I think you made an awesome decision (I'm biased). CBIs are amazing, having done lots and lots of research before buying I really really believe there's no better. Nosey through my other threads if you're curious, there's lots of detail on the journey I took. It helps that there are CBI vendors in the UK, as opposed to ACAs, otherwise I would have had to choose! There are some things HPD do (part exchange) that Durham Rose don't get involved in. So really you made the only decision possible if you wanted your CBI. I'm sure it was the right decision. You will meet nearly nobody who has such an amazingly sparkly and firey diamond as you. Just remember to keep it clean!

I've had a few comments on my CBI, but mostly people react to the size. That's not the kind of comment I'm interested in really, because I got this ring for me and not for anyone else, so I tend to react very little when that happens and rush to change the subject. However, I've had some other comments about how sparkly it is and when that happens I'm all for it. Then I have to be careful how much I say because usually the originator of the comment is diamond owning or has bought a diamond for their loved one and I'm not trying to insult anyone!

I’m really glad I took the plunge. I almost backed out several times due to worrying over having the diamonds removed and shipped plus I’m going abroad soon for 3 weeks so I also worried about the timescale. Dealing with HPD was wonderful though.

Nothing in particular worrying me- I was just curious to know if people in real life had noticed or commented on the quality of your diamond. I’ve yet to wear mine out believe it or not!
