I might, I will have to check in the next day or so. I saw in your thread you are looking at rubellite as well, how do you feel about pink tourmaline?

To be honest, Freke, I don't know much about tourmalines and I haven't had a chance to read up yet. All I know is that I've seen sapphires, spinels and rubelittes (as well as some garnets) in person but never tourmalines, not in pink anyay. The one you posted is very pretty.

I particularly love the sparkles/ scintillation from pink sapphires. I hope that's the right way to describe it!

I looked through my spreadsheet (yes, I have a spreadsheet of gems) and I might have one item that could tickle your fancy, as it's pink, and rather large, BUT it's light pink and an asscher.

I keep contemplating keeping this because it has big flashy facets, but I'll post it here for the moment and see if there is any interest. It does have a bit of that half and half extinction going on, but Dan did a great job on getting the spread on this sucker.

I managed to snag a couple pictures of a stone I haven't listed yet...

It turned out especially nice and the color is awesome (especially outdoors) - a hot rich pink. It''s also a great ring size. 3.24 carats, 9.1mm. This is done in one of my favorite square cushion cuts, as this design is easy for jewelers to set in a 4-prong setting. It would also work great in a bezel setting.

It''s very nearly flawless (VVS) - just a very very small inclusion near the girdle on one edge. I need magnification to see it. Other than that it is totally clean.

Is that the inclusion on the girdle? I don't see it in the vendor photo or some of your other photos, so I am wondering how visible it is to the naked eye.

White spot = feather. So yes, that is the inclusion Gary spoke of in his description. It's not terribly visible, unless the light hits it just right.If it were bezeled, I imagine that it would completely disappear.
