Fun with a UV light for Florescence

My husband got a UV flashlight to check something in his car. I was half listening LOL something about finding a transmission leak. Anyway I shined it on my rings and wow you can really tell the stones that contain florescence! The three stone is a Jeff Cooper setting from ages ago and I’m a little miffed that that one has a strong fluorescence since I believe they advertise their stones to be certain color and quality but anyway it’s still fun to look at. Before shots sans light then after! The other ring is an oec band.

You mean without the light? Not at all! I'm going to pay attention next time I go out into the sun though to see!

For me I have pink/yellow/green fluorescent diamond melee ...very pretty to look at under UV.

I loooooove fluorescence... I have a pearl pendant that I was a little meh about but it's now a firm favourite as one of the tiny melee stone has strong RED fluorescence

Wow RED! Never seen one with RED fluorescence before.

I heard about it but assumed that browns or yellows would have red fluor. I was pleasantly surprised. Will try and take a pic though it's such a tiny stone

Cool! I’ve shined on different pieces with melee diamonds and there is usually one of two with fluorescence in those too!
