I have a story to share..
My grandmother just got off the phone with me, to wish me a happy birthday.
She proceded to ask the "how old are you now, how are you, etc" questions
then she asked did you get your diamond?
side note- from my parents, i had picked out a diamond pendant(it''s small diamonds to make a bigger one-well that concept anyways)
so when she asked if i got my diamond, i assumed my mother had told her what i was getting from them, so i was like Yeah!
ahahah
my grandmother was like whaaaaaat! really?
and then i clued in... she meant engagement ring.
i was like oh No wait! haha.. no no, (and explained,) she was like ohhh ok and laughed.
it was funny(and a bit ackward) she asked if we were still together etc etc..
ahhh grandmothers
i definitely don''t refer to engagement rings as "your diamond" but i know they do
(i guess i just forgot..haha)
