Apologies in advance if this has already been discussed here as I spend most of my time on Rocky Talky. I did a quick search and nothing popped out.
I just noticed this on the GIA website and thought it would be interesting to the many colored gem enthusiasts here. As someone who spent a big part of my early career as a colored gem trader I found this to be an excellent GIA initiative.

About the GIA Gem Project and the Dr. Edward J. Gübelin Gem Collection
The GIA Gem Project is a systematic study of the Edward J. Gübelin Gem Collection including photographic images, gemological data and data acquired by advanced scientific instrumentation on over 200 of the important gemstones.
