Apologies in advance if this has already been discussed here as I spend most of my time on Rocky Talky. I did a quick search and nothing popped out.

I just noticed this on the GIA website and thought it would be interesting to the many colored gem enthusiasts here. As someone who spent a big part of my early career as a colored gem trader I found this to be an excellent GIA initiative.

The GIA Gem Project is a systematic study of the Edward J. Gübelin Gem Collection including photographic images, gemological data and data acquired by advanced scientific instrumentation on over 200 of the important gemstones.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. What an unusual set of taaffeite colors! I'm used to lavenders or greyish muaves (like the 6.23ct and 5.32ct). That blue is really unusual. I'm hoping they upload an example of untreated pink benitoite, which is extremely rare but has been reported in a GIA article before (G&G Fall 1997).
