Giddy Girls!

So, this might be a silly question but...

I got engaged on 7/18/09, and I am still on CLOUD NINE!

FI is too, and it is such a fun and exciting time!


How long were you gals giddy? When is this feeling going to wear off? I hope never

Mine lasted for about a month and then my mom made me cry about the wedding....but we''re ok now, thankfully! And now, I get giddy whenever FI and I talk about the wedding and I look down at my ring and know that I''m the luckiest woman alive to be marrying him.

Ditto to this, including the mom making me cry part.

But also to the second part - I get giddy all the time thinking about spending my life with my FI.

The super giddy, post engagement feelings lasted about a month, but then I became a different kind of happy knowing that the engagement was the first step in marrying the wonderful man in my life.

My FI and I got engaged April 18th. I would say for us the giddyness lasted about 3-4 weeks. Especially when we would call each other "fiance/fiancee". Big huge smiles would ensue

It did start to fade a little when the planning started, and the drama from my mom (who I NEVER thought would be like that) started. But now that the drama has started to subside, the giddyness is coming back. It''s a little different now though than when we first got engaged 3 months ago. Instead of excitement over the concept of fiance/fiancees it''s now all about the idea of me being the wife and him the husband. I guess that''s the nautral course of things.

I think I''m still pretty giddy and I got engaged on 6/5. The ring is a pretty nice reminder of everything so if I forget for a second about that blissful feeling, my hand reminds me. Anytime I get to call him my fiance makes me giddy all over again too.

Of course, that''s not to say that during some of the early wedding plans I didn''t have moments of serious stress that blocked out the cloud 9 feelings for a moment. but, the giddyness always returns!

Soooo interesting that this is a recurring theme!

My mom is stressing me about our wedding plans, and I definitely had a NIGHTMARE last night where I was screaming at my parents in a public restuarant, telling them where to put their wedding ideas!

And I am NOT the yelling type!

But, at least I still woke up giddy and happy!
