*giggles* I spent last night researching LM''s on PS with the FF [::)]

A little backstory, FF and I are trying to plan a mini world trip (HK, US, Europe) which unfortunately for some reason or another keeps getting delayed with circumstances beyond our control, nothing drastic just little speed bumps on the way to our dream holiday. We have had the diamond for quite a little while at GOG waiting for our next move. We both decided ages ago that we wanted an LM setting (those claws are divine

) so that was a given. I helped pick the diamond but the settings is up to him, so it will be MOSTLY a surprise. I do know it will be a solitaire and the most probable shank width (1.8mm) but the rest is unknown.

I was about having kittens knowing he was looking at LM''s site last night and researching diligently on his computer behind me inside I was screaming like a little kid we did quite a bit of research together about claws (4,6 or double) and shanks and it was so much fun who knew PS''ing with the FF would be. That said I am determined to leave it up to him and let him pick it, he is determined for it to be perfect for me and for me to fall in love with it .


I don''t know when he will contact Leon but I know it will be very shortly, I am hoping tonight. He just wants to get it right in his head and make it perfect, as far as I am concerned it will be perfect because it is from him . So soon as we get that underway we can book our trip and go and pick up our ring YAY

I can''t wait to get engaged to him and to be able to tell the world after 10 years and many many many lappings I think it is about time to be my time .

Thanks Delster I think if I got any happier I would literally BURST. I get all these silly little looks on my face all the time and have developed an obsession with looking at my LHR finger do much so I can tell the fluctuations in size when I look at it

. I am currently waiting up for him to get home from work so we can talk further, I don''t think he would have had time to think over the claw issue at work but I kinda hope he has made a choice I just want this waiting biz all over with.

LOL Gwen I told him that and just looked at me and smiled, I assured him everyone on PS is really lovely and would love to help . At that stage he was still torn between the 4,6 and double he likes elements of each. I assured him though we could easily fix this problem by getting me three rings one of each

purrfectpear Thanks so much, I am estimating we will end up in NY late August early September, I am hoping it will still be warm (not soon enough) but I think know he will do well he was up till 5:30am this morning looking and researching again (awwww) and maybe emailing but I have given him my word I will not snoop so I have yet to confirm all he told me is that I would be really happy with what he was doing

OMG! I am soooooo glad I am not the only dork doing this

I find myself constantly glancing at my ring finger and imaging my ering on it! Sometimes I swear I can see it - I am going mad, severe LIWitis, only cure - engagement!!!

You two are long-timers too! I am happy about this too - sometimes I feel like we have been together forever and everyone I know is getting married having kids and getting divorced in almost half the time we have been together and we are like dinosaurs. It''s nice to see other couples reach milestones like 10 years etc. It''s wierd looking back and saying - wow, I have spent over a third of my life with this incredible man, I am so lucky!!!

He told me this morning on his way to work that he didn't email last night he is still just needs to work out the final little elements or so he tells me. I am trying really hard to be patient but I am so excited he still can't decide between 6, double or 4 claws

. On one hand he likes the 6 because it visually makes the stone look bigger (the stone is already massive compared to anyone I know) but he likes the flexibility of the design of the 4/double claw, who knows what I will end up with LOL but I know it will be beautiful .

CaféHummingbird Thanks which three Leon styles are you torn between? I would love to see them is there something in particular you like about each one ?

Honey YAY I am not alone I actually have to be conscious when I am in public so as not to give anything away I have a tendency to play with my finger as well

. I totally hear you on the the other couples thing, this year four friends (and a former friend so that makes it 5 people I know) are all getting married

all are younger and have not been dating there SO's no longer then three-four years sometimes I seriously feel left behind but like you said reaching those milestones together is special and something to be cherished. I feel lucky to be loved by someone so wonderful and for so long .

I am so happy for this forum and the support because right about now without this outlet I know I would be quietly going insane and have to eat all of the yummy looking triple chocolate cake and muffins I made to console myself
