Going to be a September bride!

Hi everyone! We finally booked our reception hall a few weeks ago. It will be at the Swan Club in Long Island, NY. The date is set for 9/8/07 and we're so excited to be beginning this whole planning process. In fact, tomorrow FI and I are finally moving in together after 5.5 years!

That place is beautiful! We share the same date...I went with it because 6 is my lucky number but didn''t work for the months we were looking at and 8 is my back up. I also thought that FI would have a much easier time of remember 09-08-07 than any other date! (Other than 06-06-06, lol)

Thanks everyone for all your nice words. It is pretty exciting, although I haven''t started planning anything yet after we booked the place. The date is pretty cute (09/08/07), but it actually wasn''t intentional. We wanted a summer wedding but my parents, our relatives, and most of their friends are all professors who go away after school ends in May all the way until Labor Day! That basically ruled out the entire summer for us, so we just picked the earliest Saturday possible after Labor Day. I guess it is still early enough to be considered a summer wedding, but it won''t be as hot, which is good.

I''m so happy to see all these other September brides. I think it is a beautiful month (if the hurricanes stay away) and I look forward to planning it!

Don''t you just love September? It''s not too hot, not too cold... and where I am there are those amazing colours!! I''m going to be a September bride too, 09-20-08. I wish it was 2007!
