Hello everyone. Made my first purchase of fine jewelry. Usually have not been an avid purchaser of fine metals but I purchased this gold chain from a pawn shop which specializes in jewelry, and managed to get a good deal for the quality. It is a rope gold chain with inscriptions written on the clasp. Shown in picture although very difficult to see without a magnifying glass. It reads, “10k” (which obviously means 10 karat) and the other side the inscription of “AG.” Was wondering what that inscription meant and would this devalue or otherwise not be authentic gold piece. Took it to another jewelry store and he verified it was indeed a real 10 karat. Any help or insight is appreciated. Thanks! -Rich
