need some advice!

my wedding dress is ivory and lacy, and i''m planning to wear silver-toned vintage-y jewelry (which i have yet to find, so if anyone has suggestions for jewelry sites, by all means, send them over!

). i also would like to wear pale gold shoes, but i''m wondering-- will this clash w/ my other accessories? will i look terribly tacky? should i just stick to silver shoes?

thanks!

I actually had this problem too, and I found that some silver shoes that were genuine leather had a goldish tint to them that made them match the ivory dress really nicely. But I think if you go with gold shoes, as long as your dress is long and your shoes are minimally seen, I don''t think anyone will notice the difference between the shoes and the jewelry. Of course, I stressed myself out over this so much that I ended up going with Pewter shoes...

I love the ones that are goldish-silver, I think some shoes like that would be perfect!

I don''t think gold shoes would be tacky. I think they''d go beautifully with the dress and not clash with the accessories :-)

I also think a goldish silverish like the ones that were mentioned would be good if you''re really worried about the shoes matching your accessories. *nod*

thank you, everyone! goldish-silver or silverish-gold it is! :)

I think a muted platinum type shade would be nice. It is not too cool or too warm, but will not stand out and clash with your other accessories!

No one is going to see your shoes so go with what you love.

I myself got some Nine West shoes that are pewter and shiny gold-- they go GREAT with my dress AND my vintage jewelry. Check out Rubylane.com-- they have tons (tons!) of vintage jewelry. I bought my 1930''s cameo pendant for my wedding dress from there.

thank you all for the advice! :)
