Seeing as how I have no clue as to what is a good deal when it comes to vendors, I thought I''d post here to get your input.
This is the package that my photographer has offered me:
engagement session
bridal session (which i will probably trade out for a parents album)
11x14 framed stretch canvas portrait
rehearsal/rehearsal dinner
2 photographers for wedding day
coverage of entire wedding day including preparation and reception
11x14 or 13x13 seldex artis
tic album (for formal wedding and reception potraits)
8x10 montage art book (for fun candid photos, wedding preparation, and reception)
30 personalized thank you notes (but i''m sure i will trade this out for something else)
cd of weding proofs that can be emailed
3 DVDs of the wedding proofs (1 for couple, 1 for bride''s family, 1 for groom''s family)
3 copies of proof book to accompany dvds, with a mixture of color and black and white photos
And the grand total would be 3885 plus any applicable taxes.
So what do you guys think?

I think it sounds pretty good. Where are you located? Did you like the portfolio?

i''m in atlanta. i love her stuff. my fiance and i have actually used her before when i did some summer work for her, and i traded the paycheck for a couples black and white session

i would just think hard about subsituting your bridal session. i can understand maybe the engagement pics, but i''d want bridal pics.

It sounds like a good deal to me too...it buys a lot!

Yeah... I wouldn''t trade out the bridal session either. Engagement pics though... those I could see trading.

It does seem like a good deal, especially if she''ll let you trade things in and out of the package. Congrats!

Really? I feel the opposite. Our engagement session was really great for a couple reasons - we got to be glamourous together (hee hee!) and we got to know the photographers and they got to know us. We were a lot more comfortable with the photogs on the wedding day (kissing on camera, for example) since we''d worked with them before. And I feel like I got plenty of just-me bridal pictures on our wedding day. To each their own!
