Good online (bridesmaid) dress retailer?

Hi all,

I need to buy a Dessy bm dress and am thinking of going through an online retailer. Has anyone had a good experience with an online shop? I was thinking of going though houseofbrides.com but saw that they got scathing reviews. This is a totally fug dress and I want to spend as little as possible on it. But I guess I need to make sure it actually arrives.

RK Bridal was great, but I think you have to fax your order in.

Pearl''s Place also usually gets good reviews on here, but you have to phone in your order, so you need the style number, color, and size.

I second pearl''s place. I got my wedding dress through them, and it arrived before they said it would and it''s perfect. I''m also using them to order Watters WToo bridesmaid dresses. That order will hopefully be put in as soon as I have all my girls'' measurements. Sabine is right - you need your style number, size and color information ready before you call. (Sizecharts and measuring instructions can be found online pretty readily for all the big designers.) Part of their low price deal is that it''s no fuss service. Good service - you''ll get the dresses you want when you want them - but they refuse to help you figure out which sizes to get. A lot of that is probably liability. If they give a recommendation based on what you tell them over the phone, and it''s wrong, fingers start pointing and nobody wants to admit fault.

Just be sure your BMs are measured by somebody who knows what they''re doing, and don''t let vanity control what sizes are ordered. Always use the biggest measurement to order and then take in as necessary.

I agree with the ladies who recommended netbride. I ordered through them, and, while I don''t have my dresses yet, I selected them because I''ve heard nothing but good things about their service. Also, my bridesmaid dresses were about a third cheaper through netbride than they were in the brick and mortar bridal store I visited.
