Does anyone have good leads on places to get good wedding shoes? If so, I thought I''d start a thread where we can post links, photos and shop contacts.

For me, the offerings at the bridal shops leave me cold. Dont like those shoes at all! And I need to try on shoes in person so does anyone have any shops, chain stores, etc. that they know of or have had good luck in finding wedding shoes in? FYI, I tried Bloomies yesterday but they had nada.

hope these work

What kind of shoes are you looking for? I actually recommend Zappos for selection and return ease. I know you said B&M, but really, Zappos has an AMAZING selection and free shipping and free returns! So you can buy a few pairs you think you''ll like and easily return the ones you don''t.

Otherwise, I love nordstrom''s shoe section as well. J.Crew also sometimes has some nice sandals or strappy shoes for summer.

Not sure exactly what you may have in mind, but check www.endless.com. Great selection, delivery and returns (much like Zappos). Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions! I''m going to the mall today to hunt around and also to a big shoe outlet here in town. Then check online if I cant find anything in person..I looked at some of the links but nothing yet...The problem is I only want about a 1-1.5 inch heel...I dont know how some ladies walk in stilettos...I cant do it

I finally found my shoes at Peter Fox - they have a lot of white satin shoes and their shoes are very balanced and comfortable.

Just wanted to let you all know that after looking high and low, I actually found some very nice wedding shoes at David''s Bridal, of all places! What was great was that I wear a larger size shoe and they had plenty of selection so I was able to actually try them on as opposed to ordering them blind. And they dyed them to match my dress so it''s all good. I never thought I could wear elegant pointy toed shoes but these are so comfy and have just enough heel to be dressy but are low enough so I wont fall and break my ankle! Even if you''re anti-David''s, I highly recommend their shoe dept. Once they''re dyed they look like much higher end shoes.

sorry I didn''t read your last thread :) congrats on finding your shoes
