Got the stone !!!!

OK - not a lady in waiting but a gent waiting to propose. After two months of searching I finally found and got the stone (just got it back from my appraiser) and I am having it set into a custom-design ring!
Specs: Radiant cut 1.01 ct; F; VS2; VG symmetry and EX polish, med-strong fluo. Great spread at 7.13*5.13!! I will have to post pics once I have it (4 weeks from now). It will have two side trillians as well. Proposal is not going to be before next year, but might as well get the stone once you find it, right?

Congrats! It''s great that you are planning ahead so much! I can''t wait to see it. I was originally on the raidiant hunt, until those pesky cushions caught my eye! But I will def have a yellow radiant someday

Thanks Crooked Rock! Who said that guys can''t organize a ring in time? Lol! Tbe process is so much fun and exciting and GF does not have any clue whatsoever.

I am just afraid that she may come across this site and see the ring ... ?

what''s your reasoning for buying the ring now, but waiting until next year to propose? (if you don''t mind sharing)

In these parts it seems a lot of LIW get pretty frustrated knowing their boyfriends have rings in their possession, but are waiting weeks or months or years to propose. Maybe you can help us shed some light on the subject?

Well, we have been dating for a pretty short time (less than six months) and will be moving in shortly together, which is a big step for my GF. She certainly is NOT thinking about getting engaged now (or married) and I don''t want to rush her into anything she may not be comfortable with. I''d be the last one to hold back and make a LIW unnecessarily suffer ...

But again, I am confident that she is the one (how romantic, I know) and it took me a while to find a stone that I really like, so I just went for it.

Wow. You''re totally the male equivalent of a LIW. You''re a.. GIW. I love that - how romantic!
Can you please email my boyfriend? Because, according to him, he''s been sure about me since very early on in our relationship, and he''s definitely planning to propose sometime in the next 4-5 months, but he has not begun to look for a ring or a stone or . . .
(aside from when i point a ring out in a magazine ad and he looks up the website of the jeweler and then becomes overwhelmed and gives up.)

I am just having tons of fun woth the process and will have to find a good hiding place since I have read so much about ladies turning the house upside down to take a peek at the ring, haha! Know your "enemy" ...
