Here''s a detail:

Dress #2- a Maggie also. Very slimming, but does the neckline detail look like bandages??

#3- Audrey Hart- a little fuller but tons of accessorizing options! We placed a broach on the ruching for fun.

Here''s the train of the Audrey Hart- fabulous!!

#4-- And here''s a Pronovias.

I like all of them...what a successful trip! Although you have your favorite, dress # 3 is my personal fav.

LOVE #1, really like the neckline on #2. The detail on #2 is a bit distracting, but the sweetheart neckline is fabulous on you.

I know this probably doesn't help, but #1 with a slight sweetheart neckline would be perfect. Though, the straight looks great too!

ETA: I showed DH the pictures, and he says it's a tie between #1 and #2! In case you want a guy's opinion!

Ohhh, I bet you could easily have the neckline on #1 altered a bit to make it a little softer/less straight/more like #2. I LOVE #1, but I agree that the slight sweetheart neckline is more flattering on you.

Can I just ditto Ebree?

It is so great that you have come to a happy place...and I believe you have found what you like. That must be a comfort for you!! Yeah!! Is the first dress a non white dress? It appears to be apricot golden on my monitor. The color does look lovely on you what ever color it is. Is has very elegant details.

In this group I actually like the last one on you best. I didn''t think I would like that style...but it defines your waist line differently...very well though...and the details of division on the skirt are an added interest ...and when it puddles outward it just exudes elegance. Sorta fishtail bottom...but more flowy. I bet the shoulder straps would be taken in...and it would fit better. The neckline reminds me of this famous wedding dress.

What is important is that you KNOW it is right. I think you may have that in your #1. I am thrilled for you!!

DKS

I vote for #2 as well.

Ok, I''m in LOVE with the Pronovias gown, followed by the first Maggie Sottero and then the Hart gown. All 3 look fabulous on you! I may have to try to Pronovias one myself when I go shopping this weekend (my first dress-shopping trip - YAY!) Could you tell me what style it is?

I''m not really a fan of #2. It looks more wrinkled than rouged in the middle to me, although that might just be from not being freshly steamed. I love #4, but I also like #1 and #3!

1 with a sweetheart neckline (it can easily be done in alterations) would be perfect!

3 and 4 are my votes. The neckline on 4 is great, same with the sweetheart on 2, but a better dress overall. Number 3 looks a lot like the first one in the basics but your figure couldn''t look better in it and you said it has lots of customizable options.

I REALLY love #2. If I didn''t have my dress I would want to go try that one on, it makes you look so slim and really plays up your figure. I''m not sure what kind of style you want to go for, from your other posts it seems like you might want a little more embellishment, but I think #2 is absolutely perfect on you. You could do a great sparkly necklace or some long-ish sparkly earrings. To quote Fergie: G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S!

Do you have any pictures of the back?

I think the rouching at your waist in #1 and #3 really flatters your figure, but I like the details on the train of #3--I''m a sucker for those soft details!

I love #3 on you, it looks fabulous!

Wow, you look amazing in all of those dresses!
My fave is #1, then #3 comes in a close second.
I think #1 shows off your great figure better than #3 - #3 has a lot of material!

What a great dress shopping trip!!!
It seems like each trip gets better and better (which is what people were saying about my trips too!) lol.
Are you at Weddings by Debbie?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE dress 1. It looks fab on you. Beautiful! I like it the way it is, but also think it would look pretty with the modified sweetheart neckline (the little dip).

Dress 2 is gorgeous on you as well!!!

I love 3 and 4, but I think you look great in plainer dresses...but then again there''s always that casablanca you''re waiting on. When do you try that one on?

So far, 1 is my favorite, definitely!!!

Wow! All of these dresses look absolutely fabulous on you. I adore #4 on you, it makes your knockout figure look stunning! But honestly, you could go with any of those dresses because they are all beauuuuutiful.

Wowsers! What a mix of opinions! This must mean all 4 dresses are great! That makes me feel good- makes me feel like I'm getting every closer and ever better at picking them out for my body.

I'm still trying to hunt down that Maggie Sottero with the sweetheart neckline suggested earlier, but I've only got a couple of more stores to check.

EBree, Ladyciel, surfgirl, anchor31 - I don't think I have a preference on neckline, as long as the sweetheart is not too deep. I'll see what the tailor says! I'd rather get #1 altered than go with #2, I think, after sleeping on it...

EBree- tell DH thanks for the guy's opinion! FI is giving me more general and less helpful "Whatever you like..." comments more and more...

Door Knob Solitaire- yes the color of #1 was a darker champagne and it went great with a GOLD veil. FI didn't like the champagne in the photo, but I'm taking him in on Thursday evening to look at these- maybe he'll change his mind.

Krissie- I'm not sure of the Pronovias style. If you'd like, I can find out when I go back tomorrow.... just let me know!

KaraSue- I have photos of the back of #2 on another computer- I can post it tonight!

luckystar- Yes! I was at Weddings by Debbie! Do you have any experience with them? Good or bad? I'm expecting the Casablanca Friday or Saturday. I'm getting really nervous about the tulle at the bottom- not sure if I could work that out...

I''m a little late, but I love #1 and #3 equally--though for different types of weddings. Remind me... what is the feel of your wedding?

#1 looks a little more garden-wedding to me, while #3 looks more church- or otherwise-fancy-locale-wedding to me. If you know what I mean
3.gif

Also, it could be the fit, but #3 gave you more curve, more hourglass, more "Look at my teensy schmeensy waist!"

Musey- i''m having a garden wedding! I was thinking the Audrey Hart may be just a tad too much. Too much for me to carry around and too much material for hot weather... thoughts?

Well, when I went there I had no plans on going back, but it was really just because of my sales lady.
She was an older woman who was all business no pleasure...and she was trying to sell me HARDCORE on a $4000 dress even though I didn''t like it that much. On the other hand, it''s where I tried on that Maggie that everyone liked (lace overlay, oyster sash).
I didn''t like the 60% down either. Most other places only had 1/2 down. And they tell you that if you buy right then they''ll give you 10% off so they REALLY tried pressuring me to buy right then and there, and when I refused she confided in me that if I call within the week she''d still give it to me. lol.

To be fair, it was my first dress shopping experience, and I had NO IDEA what I was looking for. If I was still looking I may have gone back and picked out dresses that I now know I can pull off.

Looking at your pics I was like, "I never saw that dress there!!!!!" lol. I was totally geared towards a certain style that wasn''t right for me.

I agree. Beautiful dress, and beautiful on you, but not right for a garden wedding.

3 by a landslide.
