The low-cost setting is all you need to see to know those are not diamonds.

Even if they were diamonds, it is highly likely they're costed and/or irradiated. I suspect they're not diamonds however as Kenny mentioned. Pure green diamonds (primary color) in nature are exceedingly rare and valuable. To find a piece of jewelry with many of them, let alone perfectly matching in color, is unheard of.

i collect a particular brand of vintage costume jewellery so I am very familiar with identification. As Bron357 mentioned, it is definitely costume jewellery and sorry to add, the first piece is not very good either (it is a piece that broke off a larger item). The second piece is much nicer and in better condition and very likely from the 1950's. Vintage costume jewellery settings are brass and usually gold or rhodium plated. The gold plated pieces wore faster often leaving the brass showing. Higher end costume jewellery is very often signed. The stones are often Austrian crystal (glass) or art glass. Please note the foiling on the back of the green stones. Don't confuse this with foiling of vintage rose cut diamonds. This should help you next time you are at estate or garage sales. You might want to post future finds in Fabulous Fashion Jewelry sub-forum.
