Green tiger-eye jade?

I recently bought from a dealer in Thailand (very cheap) what was described as a "Green tiger-eye jade" bracelet. Upon asking for more details, he said he doesn''t know exactly, but it is a "colored jade."
Testing the bracelet, I get a spec. grav. of 2.45 and a RI of 1.776 .
What could it be?

I’ve not heard of this but is the dealer calling it “tiger-eye” due to the striping? Do you know if it has been dyed? I know of another mineral that is commonly passed of as Jadiete as it is also green and translucent but the name escapes me at the moment.

Are you sure of those test results? I can''t find anything with those results in my books. One things for sure it''s not jadite. Looks morelike bleached/ died malachite to me, and that would match your RI. But your sg is off for it...
