Hi, just wantd to introduce myself. I have been visiting this site and this forum specifically for the past three months. I think a proposal is imminent. Here''s my story.
I have been with my boyfriend for almost 2.5 years. We started off great and right away it felt like it was going to be an important relationship. But even though I am a few years younger (I''m 29), I was much more ready to settle down than he was. This time last year, we broke up. It just felt like he was content to maintain the status quo, but I wanted more. I had the most depressing Thanksgiving and Christmas ever. I missed him so much, but we were both stubborn. I dated a bit, but it only made me miss him more. In our time apart, something in him changed, and he realized that he didn''t want to lose me, and that he wanted to marry me. He told me that in July. He surprised me one Saturday afternoon and said he wanted me to come look at rings with him. While I would have loved a complete surprise, it was a really fun day. About a month ago, when I was feeling a bit insecure about whether this was actually going to happen, he accidentally let it slip that he had ordered a custom-made ring.
I feel like it is going to happen this holiday season! I''m very excited to spend my life with him!
