There''s no real point to this email, just a vent. I found out last night that my dad wants to pay for the site rental which is fabulous. I called today about booking the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend of ''09 and the coordinator said she had someone penciled in but would follow up with them today. I was hoping they''d back out or not be able to get their deposit in asap. We''re willing to turn in our payment tonight if need-be. Well, I guess they want it because they''re sending in their check tomorrow. I''m so bummed. I really don''t want to do the Friday night because of guests traveling, but we might not have a choice now.

I couldn't think that far in advance - but I suppose in light of this issue you kinda have to....

I am sorry your date didn't work out. Maybe the other person will not go through with the booking, could you put yourself on a reserve list? If you did could you get a refund on any alternative venue / date you put a deposit on?

Sadly, if you really think about it. May ''09 really isn''t that far away. 2007 is almost over. I was panicing about having to plan an October ''08 wedding so the extra 7 months isn''t a bad thing.

Yikes, I''m sorry HH! I was initially worried about your change in date, but in light of this, it seems it might be for the best. I''ll keep my fingers crossed for you that things work out!

Ya, 2009 really isn''t that far out. I''m planning on planning (as soon as FF proposes) for summer 2009 and I think by the time I get engaged It''ll be 18 months away or less. After reading this, I''m kinda freaking out!
