Guess when your proposal is

I realize for most people it's a surprise, and some of us struggle with boy soon vs girl soon, but some people know 'about' when it's coming. I haven't seen a 'Cross Me Off the List, Girls' post in a while so I'm wondering....

mine will be in October. i''m sure of it. my ring will be done between sept 28th and oct 5th, we are heading up to green bay for a football game with my dad on the 9th (when he will probably ask for a blessing) it will come between then and the next weekend which is his bday. The 22nd we leave for vegas and i better have my ring by then, as we are looking at reception halls! so yes, october.

Can we extend the months? I think mine will be June or July of next year. I was hoping for early spring, but since he won''t be done with his degree until Mayish- I''m thinking June or July. He really is into the whole "wanting to be settled in his life" before he proposes thing. Such a boy thing!

Hopefully I won''t have to wait that long! I''m thinking he will definitely do it some time in December, though, since he hasn''t purchased a ring yet. Maybe around Christmas?

I''m guessing mine will be in October, since there is only one week left in September. Our ring should have been ready like 3 weeks ago, but still no proposal. If it doesn''t happen in October, that''s just pure toture. He''s making me wait on purpose, because I know he has the ring! He jokingly said he''ll make me wait 4-5 months, at least I hope he was joking.......

My ring will be done and shipped by the week of Oct 17th so I think it''s anytime between then and Nov- my guess is around Halloween (Bf''s b-day is the 21st, we''re moving into a new rental house before the 1st of Nov and Bf is a horror writer and all-round Halloween fanatic, but my secret hope was a romantic proposal on the 13th...which would be 1 year until our wedding- we''re doing it a little backwards, we know we''re getting married on Friday the 13th, 2006

I don''t even know if there is a ring in progress or not . . .

If his company makes their numbers this year, I can almost guarantee it will be in January. If not, it will be June 1st next year - the last day of his "timeline".

If there really is something going on between my BF and Tiffany''s, I think it will happen mid-November. Once, a long time ago (ummm, six years!), he said that when he proposed he would do it at "our spot" in Clemson (our alma mater). We are headed back there for a football game in Nov. and my parents will probably be there too, so it would make sense.

Otherwise, I have no idea if anything is even in progress, so it could be months and months, though he did once say it would probably be before Christmas of this year...

Early October. He was going to do it on Sept. 15th, but the guy who was making the ring didn''t get it done before he flew out to see me...and then as he was leaving Jamie told me that he was planning on proposing that day! aarrgghh!! I pointed out that he didn''t have to have a ring...but apparently that means alot to him. I next see him October 1st and October 15th, so those are my best guesses...

so excited for those girls who think they''ll join me in October!!

I picked out my ring in May (yes, MAY of this year!) so I''ve thought that it was coming for a while now. If he doesn''t propose this month it will be sometime before Christmas I suppose. How long can he drag it out?

Well, last year he said we would most likely be married by this time this year.

Therefore, my guess was January 2005.

Since that obviously didn''t happen, I''m going to guess... ack. By March 06. I hope.

He has 11 months, one week and four days before his deadline.

I told my BF that as of 12:01 am on January 1, 2006 I will say "adios!". Once he buys the diamond (which he has to do in October, or I'll say "adios" sooner) and sents it to Ritani, that whole process will take about two months, so he's running out of time. So by default, if it happends at all, sometime in December, b/c that month has our anniversary, my birthday, Christmas, & New Year's Eve. He claims he has a plan, but I've heard that line before...I won't hold my breath.

Hmmm. I know the ring is ready (& best friend inspected), but we''ve been so busy with the move & various other shenanigans, it''ll probably be mid-October before he actually has it "in hand".

No way on Halloween ... Thanksgiving? ... X-mas eve (we''ll be in my home state with my family celebrating the holidays - but it would be great to BE engaged for that already)
Or ... New Years Eve? Last possible date ... Jan 12th (anniversary of "getting back together" - though we debate the actual date, so probably not)

I''m a writer so I''m always cooking up scenarios -- my favorite right now (though not so romantic) is tbat we go back to the place we had our first date (local kitch-y tavern near my house) & play Ms. Pac Man (like we did at the end of that 1st date) & I ask him for another quarter & he hands me the ring instead.

Yeah, that line doesn''t really take your breath away anymore, does it?

I told him on our very first date that I would wait no more than three years. I told him I think that ANYBODY can decide, in three years, whether or not they want to be with the other person, and that if there were no concrete plans of moving-forward-ness in place, I was out.

Hello, we just celebrated our two-year anny!

He has said to me before that he would never propose on a "special" day: anniversary, holiday, birthday, etc, because it would be too easy to guess. So I''m not holding my breath for a romantic midnight NYE proposal, but hoping maybe he''ll squeak it in on a "plain" day.
