I was going to have my hair up in a simple low bun (I have long, poker straight, Asian hair...but it''s thin. If you gather all my hair into a ponytail, it''s like 1/2" in diameter). Since my bun will be so small, I thought I would add a silk hair flower to the bun. Something floaty.

BUT, I also wanted to wear big dangly earrings and a simple, short diamonds-by-the-yard type necklace. Is that all too much? If I had to give up something, it would be the necklace. I really want to have the big earrings and the flower in my hair, but I worry that may be too much. Sorry I don''t have pictures. It''s hard to find pictures of Asian hair on the internet, and even harder to find people who have thin hair.

I wanted to have some direction before I meet the hairstylist/makeup artist on Friday. A picture of my dress is attached (but my boobs are way wayway smaller.)

I think it depends on a few things. How big are you picturing the flower? So large that it''s visible from the front, or smaller? The big dangly earrings - what style? Long and lean, or more chandelier (and what would they be made of - gold, pearls, diamonds?). Will you be wearing a veil? How dainty is the necklace?

I think it''s possible to pull all three things off at the same time - they just need to play nicely together, if that makes sense. Do you have any of them already (like the necklace)? If so, you could take what you have and go to a bridal shop and play dress-up. Or, purchase them from places with good return policies. If you put them all on and still have to ask, then you probably need to subtract/shrink something. I suspect, though, that you can do all three quite successfully.

Hi ladyciel! I was thinking that the flower would barely be visible from the front...maybe you could see a peek of a petal, but *just* barely.

And the earrings, I wanted something like those drop-dead-gorgeous stunners that Future Mrs Polka Dot got from her fiance. I would probably get clear crystal b/c the aquamarine is out of my budget. I hope no one minds that I am posting their photos (let me know if you want them removed).

I don''t have any of the accessories yet. I wanted to think it through before shelling out the money. If not the DBTY necklace, then maybe a simple pendant on a short chain?
