So... DF and I have been in negotiations regarding our wedding plans. I won''t bore you with the details of the options... but we''ve come to a compromise. Part reception part destination wedding.

We used to live in DC, and loved it there...and honestly would love to move back... but it''s not in the cards. BUT we can get married there.

It''s not in NJ or CA. And even though it''s on the east coast it''s airports are convenient to the west coast.... so it''s a bit of a desitnation.

Plus there is a little place right in the Heart of NW DC (close to Dupont Circle) that would be able to accomodate a small lunch reception for our 40-50 guests (immediate family and 4 couples/friends) for our budget... with a consumption bar. The place has excellent food and is just perfect in terms of being beautiful and a little funky. Now I''ve just got to find a place for our ceremony that''s nearby. Unfortunately, the place I would prefer to have the ceremony probably won''t work. ( http://www.wehavethewhere.com/brookside/info.htm ) as it''s probably too far away and we don''t want to deal with transportation issues with OOT guests....

Am going to call the place tomorrow-- and proceed from there. If all goes well, this time next year we could be married!

Catering person isn''t there. Now I''m just so impatient. LOL.

There is one large room that will seat up to 54, a smaller room I''m going to ask for as a rain site... and a garden outside the restaurant... which I would like to have the ceremony in-- but I''m not sure they do that. Especially on a saturday in summer. Hmm. Still if they let me it would be fabulous to have the whole thing at one site. And their food there is awesome.
