Really! That''d be so pretty! Pink/green/orange was actually my first color scheme! But I ended up changing it, as with many other things... ugh, I was the queen of indecision!
20.gif
I will dig up pink/green/cream combos as well as pink/green/orange combos then until you decide which you like best!

And thank you again for the kind comments! I have pro pics that I''ve been meaning to post, there are just so many and it takes forever to pick which ones to share!

Harleigh,

I LOVE the dress you''ve decided on!!! It''s beatiful! How great that it fits almost perfectly already.

I also love bright colors for wedding bouquets, and I think it would look amazing with the bridesmaid''s dresses!

I LOVE your dress!

Hey Harleigh! Congrats at finding THE dress and what a great DEAL. You make me feel guilty for buying my dress for so much haha (even though it was on sale...)

I love the fushia BM dresses with the celery. I adore the citrus palette and with the amazing Hawaiian background...well, can I come to the wedding too?!?! :D

Hmmm...that one''s pretty, but I really think I''m in love with the first one you posted...I can already picture myself walking down the aisle with that one! I am another queen of indecision, so I''m sure I''ll change my mind about a zilliion times!

Thanks, zoe! I''m starting to get really excited now, even if the 3rd, I mean 6th time is the charm on the dresses!!!

Was it you that asked about putting orange in your wedding in an earlier thread? That''s what got me liking it in the first place! Sadly, my MOH hates orange AND green, so I''ll try not to torture her with those colors too much!

Hee hee hee...thank you April! I am really, really frugal...it''s one of the qualities FI loves about me!

And thanks for the thumbs up on the colors...no one in my life seems to think they are a good palette...good thing they''re not wearing them, huh?

And if you want to come, plan to hop on a plane to Maui, oh, around mid-July or so!

Harleigh,
I am AMAZED at your shopping prowess, but more importantly, with your ability to find THE PERFECT DRESS!!! I absolutely love it!!!

Wonderful dress, and you look stunning in it -- even posing with the commode! What a steal!

Harleigh, I Love the dress. It is so beautiful!!!! You will look stunning for sure!

How are you going to wear your hair? You lucky girl w/the curls
9.gif

Whoops! I totally posted the wrong pic! It was late and I was so tired that I didn''t even notice.
37.gif
I don''t think a ginormous bouquet of tulips would be as fitting in your beachy Hawaii wedding. lol (Is that even a bridal bouquet? It''s huge!!) Here''s the one I thought I was posting.... the green in it reminded me of your guys'' shirts. I see that you mentioned that your MOH doesn''t like orange or green though, so maybe you''re shying away from these colors. What is your MOH thinking of? I''ll post it anyway, the first is still my fave though!

Oh, Harleigh, your dress is gorgeous! It looks like it was made for you. I''m so jealous of your mad eBay skills!

I can''t wait to see the rest of your wedding details!

Oh my goodness! I love love love your dress! It''s just absolutely perfect!

Harleigh, that dress is lovely. You rock at the Ebay thing.

Your wedding site sounds stunning. It will be a great day.

I am really sorry that you are not feeling the support of people around you during this time. But, we are all here for you in so many ways, it should make it a bit more fun!

I love checking in and seeing your choices!

Thanks Sabine! I hope everyone else I know loves it, too, though I don''t think they will...oh, well! Good thing they don''t have to wear it, right???
3.gif

Heh, heh, Holly...posing next to the commode...I hadn''t even thought about THAT! I love it!!! I was having a heck of a time trying to take the pix...the first bathroom (besides being a disaster!) has mirrors everywhere causing reflections in weird places and doesn''t have very good light. The other one has no reflection and MUCH better light... I''m still working on getting some pictures without having to use the flash on the camera...poor Andrey when I have to ask him to post more!

Hi Skippy!
35.gif
Long time, no see! Thanks for the kind words! You are always so sweet! I have NO idea how I should wear my hair...I think it will truly depend on how my hair reacts to the Hawaii weather when we get there. I usually wear it half up in a clip to get some of it off my face...so, maybe a half up-do? I think I will look into getting a short cream veil to hopefully COVER the frizz that I am more than likely to have on my wedding day! I could also try to smooth it out and then hot roller it...I''ve been doing that a lot lately to try to figure out how I want to wear it for e-pix on Sunday. Can''t make up my mind up about that or what I''ll be wearing, but as I should be packing for the weekend now and get ready for a meeting I now have at 7 AM tomorrow, I guess I should go get my but in gear! Who knew this could all be so difficult???
14.gif

chellebelle, you are so funny! I was going to mention that I thought that bouquet looked a bit large for my frame, but I know some gals love them some big flowers, so I wasn''t too sure! I love the first one you posted the most, too, but I like this last one, as well. And yes, my MOH has some weird tastes...black, blue, red, pink...that''s about it for her color scheme! I have finally gotten her to branch out to "olive" capri pants and "coral"...one of these days I''ll get her to branch out to purple, teal, yellow and orange! Actually, I was thinking of having my bouquet be the brighter one and having the girls with mainly cream with some accent colors...I just dunno! Thanks for posting the pictures...you are awesome!

Haven, thanks so much! Hopefully I can figure out a way to get better at taking pictures AND posting them! I look forward to sharing the details with you all, too!

Thanks, partyjewels! I really appreciate everyone''s positive comments! (I really didn''t know how many more dresses I could buy off ebay and "hope" they might work!)

Hi diamondfan! So nice to hear from you! Thanks for the positive vibes...it''s been really hard to enjoy this planning when no one wants any involvement in it...my family included. My friends are a whole other story, but I won''t bore you with all that! I am so happy I have all of you here on PS, and I hope I can share more with you soon!

Hi Everyone,

I just found a new link to the hotel we''ll be getting married at...it looks even better than I thought!

(DKS, you are too funny...I thought the same thing scrolling down the first time!)

Harleigh.... I. love. that. dress. Seriously woman, you've really outdone yourself this time, so glad this is the final contender. It's gorgeous, fits you and flatters you like no other dress could! Course I'm a bit biased, I wore a dress that was verrrry similar in cut and style to yours and I loved it! DH loved it as well, for the record, and he had absolutely no idea what I was going to choose! Anyway, I love the bridal party attire as well, I think you've made fabulous choices all around!
36.gif
Hi Monnie!

Thanks so much! You are always so sweet! How are you enjoying your new job? I hope it is still everything you hoped it would be!
You silly, this thread is about YOU! But thanks for inquiring about my new job--it's going great and I love it! Anywho, I'm so happy you found a fabulous dress that you love and at such a great bargain...I was actually telling my DH and a couple girl friends I talked to tonight about you and how you were the e-bay wedding dress bargain queen! I talked to my mom in between but I just couldn't tell her that you'd found a totally similar and just as beautiful dress as mind for such a sweet a$$ price! She would've felt bad, as she talked my dad into spending a lot of their wedding budget for me on my dress! Seriously, the only difference between mine and yours (and btw I think we paid just under $1k) is that yours has lots more lace on the overlay, but mine had a chapel length detachable train so no bustling had to be done which was nice but the cut was almost the same it looks like from the pics) whew! long parenthetical statement and run-on sentence, sorry! I just loved the cut because I got to wear straps and not worry about my dress falling down, but at the same time in many pics it looks like I was wearing a strapless without the big poufy ballgown effect, ya know? I loved that. Almost all of the brides DH and I have seen in our 6 years together have worn strapless bodices with huge poufy skirts, and I was bound and determined not to do the same...so I think I got the best of both worlds with the straps and dipped neckline like your dress. It just looks gorgeous on you even in bathroom shots, and I know it will look fabulous on you on your wedding day, I'm so happy for you! (ok, now is the point I need to stop gushing! LOL!) Done. Take care Harleigh, can't wait to see more!
36.gif
35.gif

Awww, Monnie, you are so sweet! (Glad to hear your job is going well!
9.gif
See, it's okay now...I'm just threadjacking myself here!)
28.gif
It's funny that you were telling people about my dress finds on ebay...I find myself starting to tell people about what so-and-so said from PS and realize they have absolutely NO idea who on earth I'm talking about...they just don't get it, so I guess I'll have to watch myself...they must think I have imaginary friends!
2.gif

I am very excited about the new dress, too...I still can't believe my good fortune! I especially love the ease of wearing it...I don't feel like I'm bumbling all over the place...since I'm already a klutz, the added weight and girth of a big dress would spell disaster for me, I'm sure. And since the gal who was selling it had it shortened a bit shorter than I would've with my 4 inch heels, all I need is lower shoes, which, as I mentioned before, is probably a VERY wise thing!
31.gif
I forgot to mention in my earlier post that when I RACED to the P.O. on my lunch break yesterday, I spent the whole drive back trying to pry my way into the box...I swear it was hermetically sealed!!! I finally got INTO the dang box at the light outside my school...and what do I find inside? A HUGE David's Bridal bag that of course I can't find the zipper on! By the time I parked and finally got into the stinkin' bag, I could barely see anything, but what I saw was enough to let me know I had made a REALLY good choice and that I had gotten a fantastic deal on it!
36.gif
It nearly killed me to have errands to run after work yesterday...I sat in the Wal-Mart parking lot and finally disentangled it from the bag, and I was ga-ga...and it takes a lot for me to go ga-ga! I couldn't WAIT to get home!!!
30.gif

I actually really did like the 99 cent dress on the hanger and when I tried it on, but after seeing myself in the pictures of it, I knew it wasn't going to be the one I was in love with! In the photos I couldn't stand the bright white, I hated the shiny satin, I couldn't breathe...need I go on? All of the other dresses I bought have been way too big and would need so much done to make them work that it just wasn't worth it to me. I got a quote for over $200 to alter the first ebay find, and since I didn't love it, that was obviously a no go. Just an aside on alteration prices...a friend of mine fell in love with a dress at David's Bridal for $99 at their "special $99 sale" they advertise every now and again. They of course only had one of each dress, and it was huge, so they tried to sell it to her and convince her that it could be altered to perfection...for the mere cost of $800!!! Say what??? No way, Jose! Back to ebay she goes with her trusty ebay queen by her side!
28.gif

To be honest with you, it took everything I had not to run home and try on the dress again tonight...if I keep this up, I'll wear it out before I ever get to actually WEAR the dang thing for real! Like you, I also really like that it has delicate straps...I have had 3 surgeries on my right shoulder, two of which were complete reconstructions, and I hate the scar I have from those. Now, mind you, a normal person would probably not notice my scar on an average day, but in a strapless gown, it's almost a guarantee! I saw how my shoulder looked in a few of the pictures my friend took and it just didn't do a thing for me, so I'm glad I have some straps on this one! I really, really wanted to take out the stitches on the altered straps and see how much better it would fit in the arms and bust, too, but I am trying to restrain myself until my best friend's mom can take a look at it...I would hate to ruin any part of it after all this, and I am NO seamstress!!!
38.gif

All right, I must get going...I was so excited to hear back from you and catch up a bit, but I know I am on here too because I am in such denial about going to find something to wear for our e-pictures on Sunday...nothing like being bloated, exhausted and having to get up at the butt-crack of dawn in the morning!!! Whatever gets packed in the car tonight is pretty much what I'll have to choose from on Sunday...we'll be out of town all day Saturday and then Sunday comes wayyyy too quickly!

So nice to hear from you Monnie...hope you have a great weekend!!!

Harleigh, Everything you picked out looks great! And I''m glad you love this dress, it looks great on you.

I was a little worried at first that we are doing green overload w/ the guys shirts being green (3 guys total) and the (2) gilrls dresses are green but since the girls dresses are more subtle I think it will work. I hope it does
1.gif
I was planning on doing an all green bouquet for me and then a white and green bouquet for the bm''s but I''m wondering if I should throw in another color. I reallly like modern stuff so I think the all monochromatic will work.

And since I''m getting married 3 months before you I can give you some last minute tips

Harleigh, that dress was made for YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks perfect!!!!!!!!!!. I love the guys'' shirts and BM''s dresses too!!!

It''s going to be spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harleigh, it looks wonderful!

That is a rainy part of Maui, no biggie, usually just a fine rain, but know that in advance. You are going to be a really stunning bride!

Harleigh, your (newest) dress is so absolutely perfect for you! HOORAY! I''m so excited! You are going to be such a stunning bride.

i love the wedding dress !! and i really like the color scheme you''ve got going on!!! i don''t know if you ever saw pictures of my hawaii bouquet but it had lime green cyms, purple and white dendrobiums and lemon leaves. tied with a fuschia wide satin ribbon much like the bm dress colors you have there. i love the first one that chelle posted with the oranges, very pretty.

Wow, and I thought I was good at the eBay thing! Awesome dress, Harleigh, it looks perfect on you. I was cracking up at the image of you trying to tear into that box at every corner and stoplight

Thanks again, asscher! I think monochramatic would look lovely, and since your girls'' dresses are a bit of a lighter green, I think it will all actually blend together really well, it just depends on what the look you want is. For the bouquets, I say either do all the same, or choose one other color to set the whole thing off. I''ll try to look back through my friend''s wedding pix...hers was what she called chartreuse and hot pink, actually, now that I think back on it. If I remember correctly, the guys shirts were really close to yours you posted the pic of, and the girls dresses were almost identical in color...I just realized she and I will have almost exactly the same wedding colors, but my girls will definitely be the standout color of it all in their fuschia dresses! How about throwing in a bright purple, orange or pink? Depending on what the area you''re getting married at has around it, maybe you could pick a color from there that you want to stand out a bit and throw that into the bouquets?

I can''t wait for you to get married so you can tell us all about it! Maybe you can take some pictures for me while you''re there!

Hi M,

Thank you! I just finally saw all of the pictures I took of the shirts and dresses together, and I think it''s all going to go great together, especially if you can picture them outside of the bathroom! I was initially very hesitant about the fuschia, but we took our engagement photos today...I wore a bright pink sweater with a cream lace tank underneath, and FI wore a cream shirt, and with all of the greenery together, the pink really stood out beautifully, and the cream looked fantastic! I am so excited to see the pictures, but I don''t know when FI''s aunt will be able to download them all. She said she would try to have them all on disc for FI''s parents to bring up to us next Sunday...I''m hoping she''ll email me a few that I can share with you all before then!

Hi df! Thanks for the nice compliment!

Uh oh...I didn''t know that about Lahaina...it was 92 there the other day, so I guess a little rain might be a welcome relief! We''ll have to have a fairy dust party before we leave for Maui next July!
