Has anyone tried on Casablanca #1971?

I really like this dress from its pictures on the website, but was wondering if anyone had tried it on. I did a PS search, but could not find anything, probably because it came out Fall 09.

) but I just wanted to say that this dress is lovely! My dress was a Casablanca... I love them! They have very beautiful designs.

I have only just started researching dresses in my budget and I find that designs from Casablanca really appeal to me. It also helps that there have been several Casablanca brides on PS, so I know the brand is solid. My mother and friends seem to like this #1971, so I guess I need to get up the courage to try it on! I am just afraid that it will look terrible on me, especially after looking at it on the model.

I tried it on! It was beautiful, but didn''t do anything for my shape. I''m pear-shaped with a long, thin torso, so this shortened me and made me look bigger than I am. I could see it working for a lot of other shapes, though, especially if you have a shorter torso! It was a gorgeous dress in person and we were all really disappointed when it didn''t flatter me quite like I had hoped!

Hmmm...I have a long torso too. Not sure if I am a pear shape, but my top is smaller than my lower half, so I guess I could be.

Well, I just need to go and try it on, I suppose. Glad to hear that the dress is beautiful in person though. Did you have any luck with other dresses Alicagirl?

My dress is the Casablanca style 1934. It looks pretty similar and I love it! I am 5''4'''' and around 165, so kind of short and stubby. I think it looks great on my body type, the A-line is really flattering. Unfortunatly I won''t have any of me in it for aother 21 days!

I liked that style too when I was looking at dresses on their site. Be sure to post pictures of you wearing it when you can.

I am 5''8.25" with a long torso...so I hope I do not have a hard time finding a dress.

Casablanca dresses can be customized. If the torso is too short, you can ask them to make it longer. You can have the neckline changed, jewels removed, etc... That is the beauty of this dress maker.

I tried it on and it''s gorgeous! Ultimatly I fell in love with another Casablance dress.
