So, just curious if anyone has gotten in trouble, or perhaps had a talking to for spending too much time on pricescope while your at work? I haven''t directly, but they sent out a generalized email to all the employees about too much time spent on the internet......As I write this from work...........I guess it really had an effect on me, huh?

My company sends out internet guidelines every 3 months. I don''t know how I haven''t been seen or caught yet.

If they really wanted to keep you off the internet, they would block the website.

I''m really surprised that they haven''t yet, because they''ve blocked everything else that''s any fun!

My past employer used to send emails all the time about staying of un-work related websites. They used it to fire lots of people. I remember some folks thinking they wouldnt get caught because they deleted cookies/history.

My husband was the only I.T. person at his last job. If he walked by someones desk & saw them on the internet he would glance to see what site it was then promptly block it, HA.

Our IT person saw me posting during a really BORING inservice training, and even commented about how she was surprised it wasn''t blocked since EVERYTHING seems to be blocked from our school server so our students can''t do anything naughty (and they haven''t figured out how to block sites from student computers but not teacher computers), and I SO thought she was going to make sure to block it. The next day, although I could still get to the site, I couldn''t post, and I thought it was totally because she caught me. But then I realized I had just updated Safari and was experiencing the same problems other people were, and to keep posting I just needed to use Firefox!

With this post, I should put my opinion down too. I post while I''m at work, because I mostly work the nightshift and we have several hours of downtime with nothing to do. I believe that when at work, your getting paid to do so something, so it should be done first before playtime

Sorry, but I''d be very angry if I was paying employees by the hour and they were typing on pricescope rather than working. Salaried employees who get their work done on time would be different. (but it sounds like in your shoes, you have boring downtime. There are so many variables. . .)

Well I oughta be scolded. But I''m the boss in my office.
