Because if you haven''t, it''s really really neat.

Last week, to take my mind off the earrings on the dining table, I did just that. It was interesting to see how much styles have changed just in the last 3 or 4 years. When I first started lurking, lucida style xprongs were ALL the rage. Then Reena came in with her halo, Lovey soon followed and within the next year it was halo central.

Plus, I missed some rings that posters put up themselves on that thread. Special thanks to Sevens who is so good at updating that thread!

The size progression is also pretty interesting. There were a lot smaller stones at the beginning of the thread.

There was a thread awhile back that made me laugh. Someone (it might have been Mara) called her 2.3 her baby. So folks started calling their smaller rocks, fetuses, embroyos, zygotes, etc. Hehehehe...

HA! So true! Lurking here will make a size ''ho outta the most demure widdle flowers. I showed up thinking 1ct, 1.2 MAX ... until I learned about the face-up issues re: Asschers and whaddyaknow -- only 1.5 would do.

And studs aren''t exempt either -- Wallermama''s .30 tcw studs were "Deco''s Wish Stud" PERFECTION right up until I saw the .80''s.

. Actually -- I think they''re still PERFECTION. And I''d befriend any stud that wanted to cozy up to my unvelvety, unmacrophotogenic, newly pierced LOBES.

I agree. I like my ears, don''t get me wrong, but macros on ears just aren''t fab. It''s like photos of feet IMHO.

Ears are only velvety if you take into consideration that velvet collects lint.

Someone had this done recently... let me see if I can find the thread. The thing that stands out in my mind was the poster saying about how she could hear them "scooping" out... something?... during the process. The old scar tissue that formed the hole I imagine. Ack!!! I'm cringing just thinking about it! That was the part where I stopped reading...
