Heart diamond ring with rubies!!

This is my new, custom made, diamond ring! I will attach the GIA report on the main, heart cut, diamond.
I am ecstatic with this ring and I will come back with all the details of its making and more photos, when i get to my computer, because right now I'm on my phone...!! I just couldn't wait to share it with you guys!!

The ring was made by my jeweler, who is the most amazing goldsmith and a wonderful friend of mine. He is situated in Athens, Greece. The setting is made of 18kt yellow gold.
My beloved sister sent me inspiration pictures of different settings for heart diamonds, when I told her that I spontaneously bought a heart diamond (without telling my husband, hehehe ). One of those pics really caught my attention. I showed it to my jeweler and I asked him to add a halo around the main diamond and to use rubies instead of pink sapphires on the shank. We have worked together for months, in order to get this right but the ring ended up exceeding all my expectations.
I always loved heart cut diamonds and I couldn't understand why they aren't very popular. I think that they are amazing

My dear diamondseeker, it was such a happy surprise to open my thread and see your post. I was taking a break from PS in order to avoid spending too much money on jewelry but as you see, nothing is stopping me really!!!
FYI, the reason I ended up at the hospital with heart problems is the political and financial situation in Greece. I have truly lost my mind with all this. First I had a panic attack at work and then the heart problems started. Thank God the situation is already looking a little better and I feel well. I guess, I have to take it easy for a while...
In general, I avoid talking politics on the internet, so I will only say that this must be the most incompetent government that the country has ever had ....and now I will shut my mouth

Missy, it was truly a scary experience. And in order to avoid upsetting the rest of the family I didn't say anything to my parents, my brother and sister. Thank God DH stood by my side through this experience.... Thank you for the support..
