Hearts and Arrows diamond that does NOT score Excellent?!?!

This is the first one I've seen that does not have excellent in Scintillation according to HCA. I have trepidation about this one, since that is what makes it sparkle! Any comments would be greatly appreciated, as I really liked this one until I plugged it into the HCA.

The HCA is a blunt weeding tool. It should not be used for selection - of anything. And because it's a coarse tool, it sometimes lets beauties slip through with scores over 2/2.5

That stone is lovely.

There are many examples of the 4 individual parameters, that make up an HCA score, where they are on or near the cusp of Ex/VG.
It is possible to still recieve an Ex score if all the parameters are right on the Ex/VG border.

In this case the stone would have a slightly less obvious star to the naked eye than if the pavilion was say 40.7 degrees. But its overall brightness would be a little better because the stars are less dark.

it is a nice stone.

IS/ASET image tells more than HCA, HCA is a useful but blunt weeding tool
