Hello again!

Hi ladies
I posted here quite a few months ago now. At that time, we were just starting to look at rings. Well, now the ring is only 2 weeks away. I can't wait to see it but my bf will hide it until he proposes. Torture!
Funnily enough, we have already picked a venue for our wedding. Because we want to have it in the warmer months but not when it's ridiculously hot, we decided on March/April (we are in Australia and since that's not too far away we thought we'd better get cracking! Has anyone else have a similar experience?
Anyway, now that the ring is finally here, I am sure I will be around a little more often. It's so exciting, but the anticipation is killing me!

I've met many ladies on these boards who have started planning their weddings before getting formally engaged. I think it's more common than people think. Yay for having one big thing crossed off your list!

Hi guys! Thanks for your reply. I do know what the ring looks like as I was lucky enough to be able to choose. It's a .90 carat oval in a micropave cathedral setting. I hope it's as beautiful as I think it is!
And yes, I hope he doesn't torture me too long after it's here. Oh well, I will just have to come back to the LIW and centre myself!

My now FI told me on NYE that he planned to propose this year and if I wanted, we could also get married this year, which is what he wanted. Since I wasn't sure when he would make it official, I started planning, um January 1st lol. We told our parents and talked with his parents about having the wedding and reception on their farm before we got engaged. I asked my aunt to bake the cake (I wanted red velvet and she is the only person I know of that can make red velvet like its supposed to taste lol) and I talked with our Mom's and another aunt about catering the wedding. I had my wedding dress by January 9th (I found it online and bought it on a whim...turns out I LOVE it!) and we officially got engaged on 01/28. I put in a good bit of leg work in those 28 days before he proposed, so you're not alone!
