Hello Everyone!

First, let me just say I am soo glad I found this site and glad to know that I am not alone!

I have been lurking for about a month now and finally got the courage to say hello to you guys! I am officially obsessed with PS!!

Here is a little about my situation:

My bf (26) and I (24) have been together for 8 years and we recently bought a house together! We started talking about getting married a few years ago but were in no rush since we were both very young at the time. About a month ago, I needed to look up something on the internet really quick and since my bf’s computer is on 24/7 I decided to use his instead of mine (which I NEVER do). So I turn his monitor on and I am greeted with a picture of a beautiful engagement ring on a website!

I was so shocked! I immediately turned the monitor back off and slowly backed out of his office. I have no idea why he had that up! I don’t want to jump to any conclusions but I am sooo excited that I can’t keep it in any longer!! I’ve been so jumpy lately!

So, the other day he hinted at a very “special” Christmas and I almost had a heart attack!! He proceeded to tell me that he is taking me on a trip for a week! Maybe this is it? Maybe he is going to propose on this trip?
I don’t want to get my hopes up but I just can’t stop myself from obsessing and over analyzing everything he says!!

I wish I hadn’t seen the picture on this computer, now I feel like a fraud. Should I tell him that I saw the picture??

As far as a possible engagement... I think it may be so. I totally understand the whole "not getting hopes up" thing because I am doing the same. But it seems like you two are really falling into place with every component. And there seem to be quite a few clues leading to it.

No matter what though, we are ALWAYS here to listen and help. No matter what - I can''t wait to hear all about this special trip.

It wasn''t long ago that I joined because I was amazed that others were in my situation. It''s crazy to think how many LIW''s there are, but this site is great for support - and to encourage your obsession!

I think we''ll all agree that overanalyzing and obsessing are common side effects of being a LIW! Welcome to the group, hopefully you won''t have to wait long!

I am very nervous yet so excited that I am driving myself insane. I am really trying hard not to get too excited just in case it doesn''t happen. I haven''t discussed this with anyone I know since I''m not even suppose to know. I am very grateful to have found you guys!

Wow your boyfriend sounds amazingly proactive! I wish I could say the same for my now-fiance. He required a lot of guidance and some gentle (and not so gentle) persuasion/hinting etc etc.
