HELP choosing a designer

I’m new to designers because my family has always used a family friend. But when it comes to my e-ring I have a specific idea in mind that my family friend doesn’t think they can accomplish. I really love a very dainty and delicate looking ring and I love the look of a very thin micropave ring but I want something a little different. I found this photo of a marquise band and I love it! I’d def want it to look very very delicate though. Any ideas on who could do this? Open to anyone in LA or NYC

I know you didnt ask for opinions but... it looks way too thin for an engagement ring. Probably why your family friend didnt want to do it
(they have just cause).

My 2 cents...ok, carry on.

Sorry to say that I 100% agree with @tyty333 . This won't work for an engagement ring because it is way too thin. It just isnt a design that will last over time.

That’s okay! Opinions are welcome. Do you have suggestions on how to keep a delicate or dainty look but have it be sturdier? I didn’t think it looked any thinner than a pave band

I think David Klass is in LA. But I'd consult with a couple of vendors first to see how they can make the setting a bit more sturdy.

Can't tell how the head of the ring is mounted, but it looks like it can be knocked off pretty easily right now. So maybe in integrated basket would be safer?

And are the marquise stones held together by single prongs? I've seen some settings that have just 1 marquise stone on each side. But having 2 or more connected like that makes me nervous...

Thanks I’ll definitely look into his work! Yes, it looks like that. I’m not committed to that exact design but I do like the look of it a lot. So I’m not opposed to adding elements that would make the ring stronger as long as it looks similar!

Totally agree.
