Your photo looks good! I might email her but certainly her current listings look too pink. She used to have some spinel melee in different sizes in that color - she called it ‘Imperial’ and described it as orange peach. Her photos looked more pink than I ever saw it look
Here’s a photo i dug up (don’t have them anymore)
This is definitely different color than the current ‘light orange spinel’ she’s got listed. I feel the imperial material looked pretty dang similar to the rose you posted. It did color shift somewhat tho
Might be worth it to call her, if you haven’t already? Maybe she has stock not listed on Etsy or can possibly get some more?
Yes, happy with heated stones. Thank you, I've tried searching for tourmaline but will also try the others you mention.Would you consider treated stones, OP? If so, perhaps you can locate some heated and/or diffused sapphires in this vibrant shade of orange.
Or how about spessartine? Orange zircon is also a possibility... as well as tourmaline. I'm just not sure how readily available these stones are in melee. Rfisher already mentioned spinel and imperial topaz. Fire opal is too delicate for me to safely suggest.
Good luck!!
Looking for around 1.5-2mm and I'm not entirely sure on the number yet, but enough to halo an oval stone that is approx 10x7mm. Maybe 10-15 at a guess? What size stones are you looking for, and how many? I have seen some garnets that color in small rounds.
Oh noooo! Unlucky for meI got a bunch of spessartite garnet melee from Cecile Raley. I’m so sorry I had it lying around for a couple of years and I’ve JUST taken it to be set this week.

Her prices are quite high compared with other etsy vendors once shipping is factored in (I'm not in the US) so I am definitely still interested in other possibilities although I appreciate her stuff will be high quality.
Have you looked at Multicolour?

I’d be tempted to show him the rose picture and ask him to match the color, rather than deciding off of listing photo.
Definitely get a few extra just in case of loss/breakage
And to give the setter some to choose from in case any are wonky.
Thank you both for the suggestions, I will definitely check those out.Sapphire Melee: Buy Fine Sapphire Accents Stones at GemSelect
