Help I have just two weeks to plan a wedding!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a long time lurker and come out to post every once and awhile. I recently have been busy working for a LTRG (non profit organization for hurricane victims). I was reunited with my ex-husband and we started planning a wedding for next year during the winter time in Biaymon sp? in Puerto Rico. However nether of our fathers can make the date we had wanted. So we decided to have a surprise wedding on July 7th here in Florida and fly out to Puerto Rico later that night to enjoy a holiday.

I have the venue, food, and other odd and ends taken care of. I just have a few small problems to take care of like my hair eeeek I have very short reddish brown hair and my stylist that I have been seeing for the last 5 years is out of the States. Can any one give some help for my hair and makeup?

Oh and I will post pics of the new e ring and wedding band later. Here is a pic of me.

You are gorgeous so you really don''t have anything to worry about! I actually really like your makeup in that picture...perhaps some blush or a little more on the eyes but that looks great.

Since your hair looks really cute short...maybe you could put some kind of sparkly barette on the top off to the side? Are you planning to wear a veil? Not sure how a veil would attach... Since you don''t have a ton of hair you can just go very simple and it will still look great.

My dress is a 1950 inspired knee length dress and I am thinking of doing my makeup like the movie actress Greta Garbo. I just dont know what to do.

These pics are very similar two the two dresses I have. I bought the traditional gown a couple of months ago before we decided to go with the wedding last minute. I will post pics of me in both dresses tomorrow. I look ghastly now form cleaning and working out.

How about a sparkly headband ala Natalie Portman? I think it would be very subtle and gorgeous but still adding a little "specialness" into your hair for the day.

Oh, I love that headband on Natalie Portman. Macie, you have the same classically beautiful features as Natalie, I think you''d look great with a pretty headband like that. Also, Bobbi Brown makes a makeup kit just for brides, I''ll post a pic, you can get it from Nordstrom, they''re $50.
