I want to have our reception in a barn! after seeing so many weddings done in them i''ve decided thats what I want too! It just seems right considering my country background but heres the problem we live in SAN DIEGO and my FI wants to get married there and nowhere else! Does any one know of any barns in the area? The more rustic the better!please help! thank you so much!

The Cardiff by the Sea Lodge is barn-like, or perhaps there is a privately owned barn that you can rent out for a day somewhere in east county. Or perhaps you can contact a local stable, and see if they have any suggestions for you. There is also a place called the Seeley Stable Museum located in Old Town that you may be able to rent out, I''d call them too. My best resources have been vendors, so calling someone, perhaps a florist or photographer you plan on using, and asking them for suggestions would be a good route.

Good luck!

Cool idea! I''m not in your area at all, but where I live, there is an estate that has a ballroom (decked out in rustic decor) located above one of their stables, and they do weddings there frequently. The people can go downstairs and visit the horses and such. It sounds amazing! I''m sorry I can''t be much of a help, but definately let us know what you find! You could try doing a search for horse farms or riding facilities in the area-- they may do weddings!

hmmm.
I went to university in San Diego, and am somewhat familiar with the area. But I''m drawing a blank trying to locate a barn! How about somewhere out in Julian?

You may want to visit bridalinsider.com They have a great forum that''s SD-centric. The gals there are sooo great and may be able to help.
