Hi everyone,

We've just received this ASET image for the heart diamond. I know red is ideal and not too tricky to read with rounds, but I'm not sure whether given the fancy shape it's not possible for the stone to be red everywhere, maybe this is as good as it gets? I could not find any examples of an ideal ASET for a heart shape. I noticed that the spread of red and green is not completely symmetrical either, will this be hugely noticeable?

Thanks!

Obviously I'm not a heart expert but I think it looks pretty good (for a heart) .

Can you give the link to the actual stone so we can see the faceting pattern better?

Looks fantastic honestly. A real winner and super bright! Great choice!

I don't normally chime in on threads like this but I have to say, hearts are usually really really bad in terms of light performance. People buy them for the artistic elements, not the optics so they're cut for girdle outline and/or weight retention. That said, this one looks terrific.

Thank you everyone! I had a feeling that hearts weren't going to be one that had much red on ASET, so I'm glad you confirmed that for me. Wouldn't want to miss out on a great stone looking for a non existent perfect stone! Because we're getting a custom Tacori setting the production time uses up the diamond inspection time so we won't be seeing the stone in person because it's set.

tyty333, I'm getting the stone and setting through whiteflash from their virtual selection so I don't have good images from their site, but I initially found the stone on James Allen http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/heart-shaped/0.90-carat-g-color-vs2-clarity-sku-222408

wow I think those are the best looking heart shaped diamond aset/is scope images I have ever seen.
