So, since I have more free time this month than I will in the next 9 put together, I'm making my wedding playlist, finding vendors to go talk to, etc. Thought you ladies might find it fun to suggest songs you think go with the "style" of my playlist but that I haven't thought of or don't have!
It's kind of a retro 50-s 60-s theme which I think comes through in the music.
First dance: either "Stars Fell on Alabama," Ella F. and Louis Armstrong or "Fields of Gold," Sting
Father daughter dance: either "Fly Me to the Moon," Sinatra, or "All My Lovin," Beatles
In-law dance: either "What a Wonderful World," Louis or "Kiss to Build a Dream on"
other songs:
Long Cool Woman, the Hollie
I Want a Little Sugar in my Bowl, Nine Simone
The Rising, Bruce Springstein
They Can't Take That Away from Me, Ella F.
Witchcraft, Sinatra
Two Thousand Years, Billy Joel
Hit the Road Jack, Ray Charles
Too Lost in You, Sugabees
Son of a Preacher Man, Dusty Springfield
It Was A Very Good Year, Sinatra
Crazy, Areosmith
She Loves You, Beatles
She's Not There!, (I'm not sure who sings this?)
Hallelujah I Love Her, Ray Charles
Mrs Robinson, S&Garfunkel
A Kiss to Build A Dream On, Louis A.
Gimme Some Lovin, The Spencer Davis Band
Je l'aime à mourir (not sure who sings it)
Magic Carpet Ride, Steppenwolf
The Best is Yet to Come, Sinatra
Brown Eyed Girl, Van Morrison
Hide Nor Hair, Ray Charles
My Baby Just Cares for Me, Nine Simone
Baby You Got What It Takes, Brook Benton
Storybook Love, Mark Knopfler (from Princess Bride)
Chariots Rise, Lizzie West
Georgia on My Mind, Ray Charles
You're the One, Lou Rawls
Come What May, Moulin Rouge Soundtrack
Pride--In the Name of Love, U2
Unchained Melody, Righteous Brothers
Here Comes the Sun, Nina Simone (want to get a different singer of this one)
Your Song, Moulin Rouge soundtrack
Hallejulah, Jeff Buckley
At Last, Ella F.
Summertime, Ella and Louis
Turn Me On, Nora Jones
Knights in White Satin, The Moody Blues
