MsFlutter, I love the necklace, it''s beautiful!!! I think pear studs in the same color would be fabulous, and even better with diamond pave. I have no idea where you could find them, unfortunately, just wanted to give you my opinion!!!

Oooh, ruby pear studs with diamond halo pave would be SO gorgeous with what you''ve got.

And if you search for ruby pear earrings on ebay you''ll find lots of plain ruby pear shaped studs... which I think would also look lovely.

Thanks for the ideas. They did have the earings at macy''s but they probably arent the best quality and even on sale they are $500 so i cant do that. Maybe now is the time to find the LA jewelry district.

Lizzie, liked the earings from overstock. I actually just bought these synthetics for my bridesmaids since they matched my necklace so well!

Let me know if anyone has other ideas where to find earings!

I have to disagree with everyone. I think I would prefer just round diamond studs instead of pear ruby studs. The necklace itself is beautiful, and pear ruby studs would be too matchy matchy and take away from the necklace. Also it''s a stronger statement for the ruby to be in only one accessory.

this is such a tough call. Do I want to use this as an excuse to get diamond studs? Because i dont want it to be too "matchy matchy" as you say, but I do want it to stand out. I do want the red theme of my ring and my wedding to be consistant but where is that line of too much? I just dont know. I think ruby drops would be too much, but I''m not convinced that ruby studs would be. hmmmm....

Picture of necklace for reference.

I would remove the top circle and vertical bar part of the necklace (for your wedding anyways) and just use the pear drop and ruby part...I love it! I think it would look a little more classic and not so busy. I would go for diamond stud earrings...definitely!

(Just my opinion though.) You''ll look stunning no matter what you decide to do! Congrats!

One more thought...

Remember, your wedding day should be about you...not your jewelry. You have such a gorgeous, adorable face and it would be a shame to take the attention away from that.

I think the less jewelry you wear, the better, and that is why I would do as I said in my last post. JMHO

Still not sure what to do with the earrings....I guess I wont decide till I have money to go buy something!

I did get the bridesmaids overstock earings today and they are CHEAP!!! and going back. I know they were only $40, but what crap!!!

Pear studs with the same type of diamonds around it as the necklace has in the big loop around the ruby.

I actually think I like the idea of you wearing simple diamond studs the best. Your new necklace is so stunning I hate to think of the possibility of your earrings distracting from it. I also think the red accents will have more punch if they''re kept to a minimum--your necklace, any touches that are on your dress (sash?) &, of course, your gorgeous e-ring!

If you don''t want to invest in diamond studs right now, perhaps you could borrow a pair to wear to your wedding? (They also might make a nice wedding gift....

I wouldnt go with a ornate kind of earring with that necklace you are wearing. Not only will the ruby earrings look too matchy-matchy, but I think it will be overkill. imho. Just as someone said, you dont want to draw attention away from your face -you're such a pretty girl. When professionals do your makeup, they always tell you to play up one feature very strongly, and stay light with the rest, like if you are going to go for the smoky-eye look, go with a subtle gloss for the lips, not dark red lipstick......am I making sense?

When there is too much going on, the person starts to get lost in all of that.....you have an ornate necklace, so go with a simple stud (diamond) earring....
