Okay, I posted about my bridesmaid dress dilemma here.
We went back out, found a second dress with three of the girls only to discover that the other three hate it. AND, now that my MOH (sister) tried on other dresses she realized that she no longer likes the first dress that all but one bridesmaid liked.
SO, I''ve decided to stop this nonsense, pick a dress myself, and just have the ladies order whatever it is that I choose.
This is where you come in. PLEASE help me find a bridesmaid dress.
Here are the details about the wedding:
- Daytime, fourth of July
- Ceremony & reception in my synagogue, which has a gorgeous, brand new, decadent social hall. It''s not your typical church hall, it''s quite large and stunning--floor-to-ceiling windows facing a forest preserve, across the street from the Chicago Botanic Garden, etc. (NOT that typical church halls aren''t stunning . . . I''m just trying to give you an idea.)
- Semi-formal, I believe? (engraved, calligraphed invitations, yet (scrumptious) buffet meal; 10-piece band, yet we''re also having a DJ to play FI''s beloved 80s music ; men in formal morning suits, yet, well, I can''t think of another informal element to write here.)
- I''m wearing the Melissa Sweet Mila dress. Many pictures here.
- I''d like to have white calla lilies as my flowers, but I''m open to anything.
What I''m looking for in a dress:
- Pretty
- Tea-length or knee-length
- Available in a turquoise or pretty light blue color
- Affordable (low $200s)
I have six bridesmaids, they range in height from 5''3" to 5''8", all body shapes, and skin tone from pale white to quite dark. Who''s up for a challenge?
Thank you so much for your help!
