Hello Ladies!

If youre in the mood could you throw out some recommendations for a CS to replace my synthetic gem?

The ring was given to me by my mother and I love the setting.
Its so dainty and looks rosey but not quite enough to be rose gold. Its 14k and has the loveliest little miligrain on the shoulders and is in great condition for a simple reset for a new natural gem.

It could fit a modified emerald cut gem (cut corners) anywhere from 7.5x9.5mm to 8x10 mm

I want to keep it under $400 & I'm open to any color! Even an onyx would be neat! Just a fun lil ring!

Right now it holds a glass/synthetic gem that looks like a darker spessartite or citrine but I'm 100% certain its not natural and I only wear natural gems.

It's just personal preference, as I don't have any interest (unless its EXTREMELY sentimental) towards synthetic/simulated/lab grown stones nor am I of the opinion that they have any inherent value as the marvel of the Earth creating such beauty slowly just constantly amazes me!

Thank you!!

How about a rhodolite garnet? The one I'm linking was recently cut by Dan Stair. It's slightly smaller, 9.3x7.3, but I think that you'd like it.

What a beautiful ring! It looks fantastic on you too! How about a cool agate? You could have an amazing piece with agate!

The setting needs a shallow cut, which makes this search intriguing. I do not know what range the setting can accommodate with/without modifications. If the proportions need to stay nearly the same, there will ever be a window which could make sense in a few designs. I wonder if a replacement stone will have to be cut for it.

I like the deep citrine color, it works with the cut, & who can guarantee natural origin on these.

The ring looks too good to change.
