I can barely see the detail on the dress...is it grapevine related to go with their wedding theme?

It might have been custom designed for her. Her BM dresses were individually designed and tailored for each bridesmaid and the shade of the embroidery on the brides'' gown matches every detail of her day exactly. Plus the wedding generally looked like it was hemorrhaging cash.

gypsy, you guessed correctly. A bride on the knot found a link online that confirms that the dress is custom made. bummer for me . . .

Thanks for helping me look.

hikerchick,

I bet a great seamstress could re-create that gown for you. All you''d have to do is find a simple ballgown and have the flowers embroidered onto the back.

Ebree,

I was actually considering that myself. My aunt has one of those fancy embroidery sewing machines. Where you put in a disk and the thread and it will do the detailed embroidery onto the fabric that is placed into the "hoop". She does this for quilts she makes. I also considered choosing a simple gown, buying some matching fabric and having a sort of reverse apron type addition so if it gets messed up, I only lose the fabric and not the dress. My final option would be having it made in India when my Mom goes there to buy my Indian bridal outfit. Decisions, decisions !!!

Thanks guys.

Yeah... From the pictures it doesn''t look so special that you couldn''t find something close and have it custom embroidered. I''m sure her''s was ridiculously expensive... but I''m also sure you can get a simliar gown for much less. Look at Paula Varsalona for gowns. The gown''s lines and neckline remind me of hers.

hiker,

Something like this might work (from Marisa, here: Marisa 584)

The back:

That Marrisa is beautiful ebree. Nice choice!

I love the dress overall and that Marissa is really pretty Ebree . . .
but the most important aspect of that dress I love, is the floral embroidery, so if anyone knows if there is a specific designer that does colorful ambroidery, I would love some links. I have found a few that do just one color, but I like the multicolor look of the flowers on her dress.

Thanks again

And a big picture of the back:

One from DaVinci (the picture is small, but the flowers are called ''multi'' so I assume they''re multi-colored):
